Over priced for the quality of the food being served. Capital Grille much better food and service.

We came in around 930pm, I understand that’s late and everyone is ready to get out the door but this should not affect the service. Our drink glasses stayed empty and we had to ask for refills every time. Once our food was dropped off our waiter disappeared. They were out of oysters and other menu items. The steaks were overcooked and dry. Overall very disappointed.

I have tried most of the steakhouses in DC and this remains my favorite. The service, as it customarily is, was solid (not perfect- for nearly perfect service you'd have to visit Fiola), although drinks could have been refilled more promptly. The food (in our case, two steaks, spinach, potato skins, chocolate mousse) was superb. We ordered spinach and potato skins, but the server brought Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. They told us to keep the Brussel sprouts and brought us the two correct dishes. That's not a big deal in my view; everyone makes mistakes. This place can be (and was) quite loud. Also, it lacks any real decor; it's basically a large rectangular dining room with no flair in design (Charlie Palmer does better in the ambiance department).

Had wonderful time at BLT past Saturday night. Our server Sarone was so nice. The food came out timely fashion and all was tasty. The highlights the tuna tartare, shrimp, crab cake, lobster salad (which was gigantic) for appetizers. And the amazing popovers. The filet perfectly cooked and the side peppercorn sauce excellent. The sides all great. For dessert h ave to order the soufflé. Sarone was kind enough to include a candle for our anniversary. Great meal. I would agree that the room could be nicer- has low ceiling and looks kind of old. Otherwise great time. Go!

Food was largely good We had to wear our coats all as the vents were blowing cold air. Most of the tables around us were also wearing coats. Food for cold quick. Told the manager and took 20 minutes for the air to turn off.

In DC to spend time with my daughter for a fun holiday weekend. This was the most disappointing stop. Restaurant was FREEZING. Sat with our coats on. Waiter never came to check how our meals were. My filet was charcoal burnt on the outside, well done inside; it was supposed to be medium to medium well. I only ate 1/3 of my filet. Waited until the end of my meal for my ice tea refill that I requested before the main entree was served. Server was horrible. What a waste.... Place is a lot different than my last visit there. Empty, on a Saturday night? At 6:30? What's with that? Other people were getting up and leaving as well. Terrible experience.

For the dollar amount spent the service is severely lacking. And I think that's apparent to anyone who was there last night. Took awhile (10-15)minutes for a server to come to my table and any that I saw. No detail of the menu was explained could barely hear the server as he talked really low. The food was fine but needed some salt to the steak. There was a really good server on staff unfortunately he wasn't ours and he did offer to get us some things which points out the lack of server we had. I'd been to this restaurant quite a few times but service was never this bad. When I pay a certain amount I expect a certain level of service to match that and that didn't happen.

Sorry to say that BLT Steak DC is a mere shell of the place that was once the DC area's best steakhouse. Our visit last night may be the last one after more than a decade as a regular, if infrequent, visitor. Aside from the prices on the menu, it seems that everything here has declined. The American Wagyu ribeye I ordered was so redolent of garlic and salt that it wasn't worth finishing. Same was the case for the creamed spinach. I don't know what the chef was thinking. The service was also so different from what I have expected here for so many years that it's sad. When all was said and done, our tab for a party of 4 was $545 (before tip) including 2 shared appetizers, a round of cocktails, 4 entrees, 3 shared sides, 1 shared dessert, and a $45 corkage fee for a bottle of wine that was a better value than anything on their depleted wine list. I'm sad after this visit because this used to be my absolute favorite special occasion restaurant, and I'm afraid I can no longer recommend it.

Excellent service and atmosphere overall. Wine choice was nice and food selection was equally good (Extra respect for offering the regular menu in addition to the special/prescribed menu on Valentine's Day!) Steak was sampled in both NY Strip and Filet Mignon. They were both very good and prepared to specific requests, but I'm not quite sure they're the best we've ever had. Overall a great experience, though! Highly recommended.

Everything about this place was top tier. The food was phenomenal. I was thoroughly impressed. My only issue was the waiter. He kept forgetting about us. We waited almost 45 minutes for salad and bread. Needless to say, I would definitely return. Make sure you get the bread popovers. They are the star of the show.

I thought I would be pleased with the service but I was mistaken after spending over $900.00 for our large party (gratuity included). The food was okay but nothing to brag about either. The service was terrible and our guest was not happy at all. This was embarrassing to invite others somewhere that is supposed to be upscale. The manager had to come over and finish serving us, however it was too late at that point. I also do not agree with the gratuity being included for large parties when the service is not worth that amount. I normally wouldn't post a bad review but no one has reached out to acknowledge the complaint or apologize.

First time at BLT in DC. Loved it! Our server, Keith, was awesome and made this experience a better one. Food was GREAT and the dessert was the cherry on top! We'll be going back!!
