I dined on catfish, collard greens, and grits. With Long Island iced tea on the side. I grew up in a family of Enfield, NC cooks. One cousin owned her restaurant, they was legit! One of the main ingredients of their food preparation and cooking was a lot of love. On Thursday evening, 4/19/2024, I enjoyed a dinner that was not excellent but was full of love. Whoever cooks at the Anacostia location, Praise God for your skills and your Love!!Peace and Blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love that It's located in the Historic Anacostia District and I am a huge fan of Busboys & Poets other locations. The service at this location needs improvement. No sense of urgency and my food has always come out cold, even when I sit at the bar. I want it to be better and I want the staff to be proud of the spot so that it can remain and so that others will want to dine here. ??

I am still sneezing from all of the dust. Don't expect much. Poor service with inexperienced workers. I ordered the brussel sprouts and they were so greasy that I could not eat them. The bourbon smash didnt have bourbon. I visited this location for a local political event. Never again. Go at your own risk.

Food, service and cocktails were very ood, but we were disappointed from the misleading price announcement of the Happy Hour cocktails price. There was a price list for All Day Happy Hour cocktails of $7, but the cocktail price was in fact $11.
