I stopped by while wandering DC. In the mood for lunch and a beer, I found the place on TripAdvisor. I had an excellent Pastrami Pobalno sandwich, salad, and two local beers. Service was also excellent.

My boyfriend loves their wings and my sandwich was delicious. The thing that really makes this place is the staff. We met the owner/chef and he truly cares about his food. I highly recommend this place.

O ... M ... G ... Carving Room has one of, if not THE BEST burger I've ever had. And they are so consistent. I've had it at least 5 times and it's always perfect (you must get it Medium!!!) . Their classic PASTRAMI REUBEN is also top notch. I prefer it to their PASTRAMI POBLANO, 100%. Their other items on the menu are good too, but these 2 are the best, by far, in my book. The wings are good, but nothing special. Oh, and their fries, with the "cumin garlic salt seasoning" ... I cannot stop eating them whenever I get them. Their service is ALWAY great. While they are a little pricey, it's worth it. I am so glad they were able to make it through the worst parts [knock on wood] of the pandemic!!! Oh, and as a bar, I can only speak to it from the before times, but my coworkers and I would go there pretty much weekly. I was our main Happy Hour Spot ... our "Cheers" PS: Bring back taco night please!!!

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and was a bit worried because the place was empty, but I needed to rest and grab a drink so I settled here for a bit. First, service was super friendly, and everything hit the spot. Got some good beer and then decided to try the ribeye and cheese sandwich, omg it exceeded all my expectations!!! Not super cheesy, but just enough cheese melted to perfection. The beef was just the right amount, and it came in a banh mi baguette that was super soft with a crunchy crust. Even as I chatted with the bartender and let it cool, the sandwich was still perfect. So glad I stopped by, would totally return next time I'm in town.

Yum, this was great. Placed a to go order of their chicken schnitzel brunch sandwich and added fries. The sandwich was great, the chicken cooked well and crispy, the egg perfectly fried, the bun (oh the bun) was delicious as was the sauce on it. Fries were hot and crispy and the added chipotle BBQ sauce was out of this world good. The man at the check-in counter, who might have been the owner, was also incredibly nice and clearly grateful for the business. This is a local gem with delicious food and great service. I'll be back and you should stop in too.

Very nice, friendly staff, clean venue, tasty food. Really enjoyed my lunch and glad I stopped there on a whim.
Words cannot describe how good everything is! The house made pastrami, kraut, pickles..... Everything! I highly recommend the Ruben and steak and cheese. The meat is so tender and nuanced. Service was FANTASTIC and enthusiastic. That carries over to the food... You can taste the love and passion in every handcrafted bite.Truly a treat and the highlight of our day trip to DC.

The burgers at this place are AMAZING!! They are made from brisket. We tried the American Burger and the CR Burger - I couldn't pick which one was my favorite because they were both so good. We also got fries with our burgers which were pretty standard (nothing to rave about, but they were still good). Overall, I highly recommend this place!

2nd Diners, Drive ins and Dives restaurant for the weekend and OMG!!! That pastrami poblano sandwich was all that and then some!!! The pastami here is comparable to, if not better than Katz Deli.

CR Burger is one the best I've had in the District!!!...and I eat a lot of burgers!!! ? The tomato salad is a must try! You can tell that lots of love and care goes into the food. Can't wait to come back again! Hats off to David and crew!!! ??? A+++++
