Had the crab hash and gotta say very generous portion. Very creamy but sort of bland just had to add hot sauce for some kick also with a side of avocado. Side note had way to many pieces of crab shell in it had to pick out every bite I took.

I ordered here on Uber Eats - I ordered the shrimp Po Boy and grits. It was above average food (and generous portions), but extremely salty & shrimp was somewhat soggy. I felt rather jumpy/on edge (I have a high sensitivity to salt) after eating their food due to the high sodium content.

This review is for the H street location in DCLet's start off by saying the food was absolutely delicious. We had the lobster biscuit, buffalo tater tots and some bacon. The lobster biscuit was packed full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I don't even like biscuits but these were the best ones I have ever had. A truly amazing food experience. So why only 3 stars then?.........The service was some of the worst I have ever had. The lady at the window who was handling the orders might have been the rudest person I have come into contact in a long time. For whatever reason I did not receive the email or text confirming my order. This is a HUGE deal and pretty much prevents you from picking up your food even though my name was clearly printed on the receipt attached to the bag my food was in. 10 mins later after going back and forth with them I hand them my ID so they could confirm my order. Why wasn't this done in the first place. All this going on and the lady at the window is still beyond rude with me. I would be happy to eat here again but I absolutely would NOT be the one picking it up. My recommendation would be to eat here as it is very good but have someone else pick it up so you don't have to endure the staff.Very pleased to say that after posting this review the management reached out to apologize about the service. I have a lot of respect for any establishment that is willing to do that.

Cute little brunch with a cute decor and a nice vibe. The service was a little slow but I didn't bother me, especially because the food was bomb! . I got the salmon hash, it was amazing and the portion size was huge. I didn't think I was going to finish all my food but I demolished it. I also order the deep fried crab legs, I think they were too salty. I ordered a drink, can't remember the name, it was good and cute. I can't wait to go back!

OMGOodness!!! Can we say FOOD HEAVEN! This particular location is nice and cozy. It's almost like a Milk & Honey express. The food is Amaze-Balls, The ambiance is killer (especially during happy hour and weekend vibes) and the bar tender sure knows how to serve up some drinks! Oh and the price is well worth it. Cons: Parking can be A B!H.. **Tips: Go during Happy hour they have great specials*

This is the second location I tried and yet again I throughly enjoyed the food! We literally got a chance to try them right as COVID was showing its ugly colors. The restaurant were taking necessary precautions by having a limited number of patrons in the restaurant. Everything was cleaned as you could literally smell cleaning products. We were served with all plastic cups, plates and utensils. The service was a little slow but I could understand as they were literally trying to keep up with the rules that were changing day by day at the time . Our food was really good. I ordered the salmon hash. I couldn't have been anymore satisfied! Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I can't wait to come back to DC and go to my one of my favorite spots .

Service was slow and they forgot 2 orders for our dinner party and they had to wait to get their food while the rest of us was almost finished. But the food? Delish! Everyone ate every bite of their meal. And the fried biscuits are ridiculously delicious.

Came here with friends for brunch and the experience left much to be desired. First off, let me state that we spent over $200 amongst 3 people and still had the worst service I've ever had in years. My friend received a disgusting cocktail that the server and manager refused to replace or remove from the tab stating it's in their nonexistent policy that isn't posted anywhere in the restaurant the. Proceeded to tell us new menus were coming with as if that's our problem. It's not stated yet you'd rather go back and forth with us over an $8 drink and lose 3 customers? Wow Then there was the case of charging 18% gratuity for only 3 people and stating that its policy to do so for checks over $150. When I asked where is that posted, she responds "on the website." So you expect customer to go look up non existent policies on your website? This establish thrives on making up rules as the go and do not post anything because they want to be able to change the rules when they see fit. They are petty for going back and forth with customers who are not satisfied with a drink and forcing them to pay for it even when they don't drink it just because they are stingy and don't want. What type of establishment behaves this way?

Went here Saturday afternoon with 2 friends . The sever was sweet but not efficient , many items ordered was never received and had to ask twice . I ordered the mule champagne drink and did not like it at all due to the fact it didn't have that Moscow mule effect I was looking for and lacking in ginger flavor. The sever said she could not do anything and had to bring over the manger . The manager began to be very combative , went back and forth with us for almost 10 mins over a $8 drink . Her reasoning was that the " drink was made correctly " but there are no listings on the menu to know what's in the drink to know what's made correct. Additionally theres no where in the restaurant nor on the menu that states this " policy " as the manger argued that they are waiting on new menus but that is irreverent to the current moment . Upon leaving we noticed a service charge on our check . We have been here several times before and never had one . The server said it was due to the check being over $150. Again there is no where that states this and the server said it's on the website which is a lie because we checked . Costumer satisfaction here seems to be nonexistent as we spent over $200 with it being only 3 people to not accommodate a $8 drink. Seems like they " policy " is to lie and b******* to get the most money out of you . The food was great but there are many other restaurants that service similar items that appreciate their customers.

Hands down the best addition to the comfort, should food scene in DC. This ( Georgia ave, NW) location has good breakfast, brunch and dinner vibes. Food is served with healthy portion. Perfect balance of savory , hardy and flavors. And food is consistent in all locations. Lobster grits and fried snapper a must order.

This was hands down one of the worst restaurants I have been to in the DC area. I’m new here and I was recommended to this place for the good vibes and alleged quality services and food . I called on the phone to confirm the wait time and I get there and there aren't any seats with an hour wait , after I had already confirmed with the staff that there was not a wait, mind you this was my second time visiting in the same day when no one told me to make a reservation until my second trip! Now the wait time kind of made me irritated but the worst part is they were holding tables for friends that came in shortly after I did‼️. I didn’t want to waste a trip so I ordered my food and waited and decided order drinks from the bar ....that was a huge mistake! The bartender with the dreads was rude and didn’t even make my drink after I sat there for 25 minutes waiting for my food because he forgot my drink order three times! I’m all for supporting black business and local business, but I wouldn’t recommend this place! The bathrooms are nasty with tissue all over he floor, some of the sockets are missing in the walls and reeked of urine! Milk and Honey you have to come better cause y’all are more like Mayhem and Disaster!!! If I could’ve rated a negative 5 I would.. There isn’t even a manager on staff, as I was told ,so this place is literally running off the seat of its’ pants with no employee accountability! A pure waste of my money and time!

I freaking love Milk & Honey. The shrimp and grits are everything here. They give big serving sizes so you will definitely leave full. The wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. There tends to always be a crowd. I'd recommend doing a reservation or run the risk of a 30+ minute wait time for seating.

This is probably my sixth time patronizing this restaurant. As always the food is absolutely delicious! I stuck with one of my favorites, the smothered chicken and biscuits with scrambled eggs and cajun sauce. My cousin had the shrimp and grits, while my other cousin had the chicken and waffles. The portion sizes are huge, the food was very filling, we could not finish our meals. Breakfast for tomorrow! The staff is always so friendly. The wait can be a little long, but the service and food is worth the wait. I'm certain I will be back again, and again. The prices are reasonable and the food is very tasty with just enough selections, not too overwhelming. Did I mention the music....Motown, enough said. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Where can you go in the DMV for a lavish brunch spread with friends? Look no further than the Bar at Milk and Honey, a fast expanding restaurant group with locations in MD, DC, and Atlanta... I call this place biscuit heaven. Now why do I call it biscuit heaven? Well, everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their food, but the FLUFFY, FLAKY, massive biscuits featured prominently on various menu items quickly became the star of the show. So go and get yourself some biscuit heaven! My personal favorite was the Jumbo Smothered Chicken and Biscuits - Deep fried chicken tenderloin served over jumbo biscuits with scrambled eggs & cheese covered in Cajun cream sauce... It was DAMN GOOD (and enough to send you straight home afterwards for a long nap). Note: Some locations do NOT seat incomplete parties, so be sure if you're going with a group to let folks know in advance... Giving it four stars as the service can be slow/spotty, but overall the food makes up for it.
