The food was great , I was there on a Sunday afternoon,the place was so busy they only had two servers a male and female , they had no seating available,so I would recommend to make a reservation, I had an hamburger which was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.

Food is delicious, every time I go to DC it’s my restaurant of choice. I love their chicken tenders and burgers. Their buns have a special home taste to them and add a special flavor that compliments very well the burgers. They’re juicy and flavorful. Service is great, they always care for special requests and never disappoint.They could do better on the atmosphere of the place, make it more modern I guess but that’s just my personal preference. It doesn’t break the experience.
I used to live in DC and thus had to put up with Char Bar on a regular basis. It is overpriced and has poor service even for a kosher restaurant. Three years ago I flew into DC for a friend's non-kosher wedding and ordered delivery from Char Bar so I would have something to eat. The DoorDash driver, to their credit, waited for over an hour for Char Bar to finish my order. They never did, and I went all day and a full wedding without eating. In the capital of the United States of America, an observant Jew was unable to eat because the one kosher restaurant in the city had such poor service.
