Great place to stop in and grab some food. It's fancy enough for an important date but casual enough to walk in. The food is very good, and I definitely recommended the steak. It can get a little pricey with the better cuts of meat, but the sandwiches are delicious if you are on a budget. With the steaks, probably 80$ a person and around 40-50$ otherwise(without drinks). All the food is in a house made besides the ice cream, the french onion soup is a must. The waitstaff was very nice and helpful. The building and decore are awesome. Definitely would go to it again.

Always a great meal, while in DC. Variety of entrees, appetizers, and desserts. Plus the cornbread!Dietary restrictions: Accommodation for seafood allergies was excellent.

Service was great, the food not so much! That cornbread though, it’s on another level.

The place looked good inside except we had to go to the basement for the bathrooms. Also the crab cakes were horrible. No lump crab meat seemed like processed crab. Also the baked potato was boiled. It just wasn’t good food. The prices also were exaggerated. Don’t waste your money or time.

Crowded, but service was excellent. Great pre-game location for Capital One Arena.

We had a large party, and the staff did a good job of handling our needs. Very friendly and courteous. I had the steak salad, the salad was large with a good mix of ingredients. The sirloin was a bit tuff, even cooked medium rare. The beer selection is good, not overwhelming. This was a business dinner, so I did not pay. If I were paying, I would probably not come here.

Update 12/30/23Not much has changed from last review. They bring you a free sweet cornbread appetizer. Very tasty and filling. Beer list is shorter but still very good. Wine prices are pretty steep. Had the bison burger, was very good. We will go back again.Review below from at least 2 years ago. Maybe 3:Great food and great beer made on site. Good service. Very popular place before a Capitals game, so be aware of their schedule. Can be a little pricey but most places in that area are. If you can catch their happy hour you will be pleased with what you get for your hard-earned dollars. Their onion ring orders are enough for four people, if you are there with only one guest, be sure to order only a half order.Parking: There is a parking garage on D street just a couple buildings from 7th Street. The garage is on the south side of D street.
