The breakfast sandwiches and coffee were delicious and the rooftop sitting area was a nice place to eat. The staff was friendly as well. The Dulce de leche cheesecake was SO good and should not be passed up.

Got the guava bbq chicken sandwich. Wayyy overpriced for the size of the sandwich. Was supposed to come with pickled onions but there were none. It was just chicken and barbecue sauce on bread. The girl who made my sandwich sat there talking to the other girl holding my sandwich in her hand for a few minutes until I finally asked her if it was my sandwich and she said yeah yeah like she was annoyed and handed it to me without looking at me. I'm in the service industry. I veryyyy rarely will ever leave a bad review.

Really cute spot. Hit or miss on business. This is the second time I've come and the first time it was SLAMMED like uncomfortably so this time was great, much less people and able to order and get food within a timely manner. We did order downstairs and they brought it up to the roof top (which is ADORABLE) for us. Water is self service. We got the chicken wrap and the Cuban, neither came with sides and they were both around $13.50 which I think is pricey especially for no sides included. Did i leave feeling full and was the food good? Yes. Overall good spot with lots to do around it.

I have been coming here for 2 years for breakfast and lunch,I always sit on the rooftop porch to disconnect from the 14th St. busy vibes...Excellent and tasty empanadas ,good breakfast spot and meeting place.Strong coffee !!! Lively and happy ambiance all day.

If u don’t have decaf, be honest and tell the customer u don’t have decaf. I am very sensitive for caffeine n I asked if you have decaf n now I cannot sleep till 5am. It’s gonna be awful Monday for me n you ruined my day. Someone may have caffeine allergy n you could kill someone. Do not provide caffeinated coffee for Decaf coffee order!!!

This place is not family restaurant it’s just a coffee bar which they don’t specify online. They don’t have the broad menu with the large plates like the other locations.

I am mad that I have eaten empanadas from anywhere else. Vegetarian or meaty, these are tasty! Coffee is good. If you are a coffee snob, they have solid espresso drinks, but only one roast for drip. Dark roast only. People are friendly. The mojito is better than mine and that is saying something.

Colada shop is a hybrid between a coffee shop/cafe/bar (with a cozy rooftop) and does each of those pieces quiet well. I've been here multiple times with friends and also just on dates and I can say the food and drink have always been quite good. The concept of this place is for the most part very cool and is honestly pretty different from what I've experienced in DC.

Tasty drinks, a Miami vibe, and lively music, but drinks take forever (15 minutes+) to come out. It's not really a chill out coffee shop either because you have to wait for your coffee standing up in a very crowded area. There is a back sitting room I didn't notice at first, but it has no windows. My cafe con leche and my husband's cortadito were missing that special something we would find a cuban coffee shops in Miami. The drinks didn't taste quite right and paper cups don't help. My son said his hot cocoa was the best he's ever had.

I’ve been here a good few times and this Colada Shop location is truly my favorite. This trip we mostly got snacks: the cheese and guava pastelitos were delicious, and the spinach and cheese empanadas were fantastic! One of my friends tried the dulche de leche brownie and could not recommend it more. Their warm and cold drinks were great, highly recommend the cortadito was absolutely delicious and so was the passion fruit soda. The outdoor patio, which is so cute, also has some heaters which is so nice because you can still enjoy that beautiful space and view.

Little cafe with cheerful interiors and upbeat Spanish music. The guava and cheese pastelito is served freshly heated: flakey, crisp layers, with a sweet guava jam and slightly salty soft cheese go perfectly together. I would have liked if the cheese was slightly more salty (or even slightly spicy!) but that’s really just a personal preference. The Chocolate de la Abuela had no depth (kinda just tasted like Swiss Miss). The cinnamon in the foam was a nice touch, but not worth the price tag overall.Dietary restrictions: Vegan milk substitutes available at added cost

This poor review is TEN MONTHS in the making. I would strongly advise NOT TO HOST AN EVENT here. I rented the rooftop at the 14th St location for an event. The issues were 1) an item in the custom menu was not served, 2) food service started late, and 3) the final bill had a fee that wasn't included in the pre-event contract. After the event, I had a back and forth with Katie Dahl, the Events & Catering Manager, where she agreed to compensate me about $240 with a mix of money back and a Colada Shop gift card. Ten months later, I haven't received my refund in full despite reminders and Katie's agreement to follow-up with my refund. I consider this so disrespectful and I regret giving them business. I haven't been back to that restaurant since and I don't intend to ever visit any of Colada's establishments again. I have told my friends to do the same because of my poor customer experience and I have pushed against organizations I'm a part of from doing business there. I advise the same to anyone who reads this. Thank you.
