The vibes were impeccable. The decolonial literature was on point.

Love this new spot! They have a walk up window so it was easy to get a chai (which was perfect) while walking my dog.

*Love* the atmosphere, but the matcha latte is the worst I've ever had, very powdery/chalky–the ones I make at home are much better and those aren't even really good. They were also completely out of their food items.

Just around the corner from Jam Doung Style Jamaican food spot is an art and coffee lover's dream that is Creative Grounds DC. This shop is nestled among the historical row houses that make this area of DC quaint and beautiful. Accessibility is accommodating with a ramp just beyond the spacious patio.Inside, plants stand and hang in the bay window where you can drink coffee and draw snuggled on a velvet green couch. New and used books stand in the other bay window while local artists' works hang on the gallery-like walls all around.Inspiration lay on the beautiful long and wide wooden table in the form of thick art books and viney plants enticing you to stay a while and absorb culture and color. While Bob Marley sang about three little birds, I happily pulled out my small sketchbook drawing and sipped on a special lavender and honey with lemon drink, at peace.Should you be a lover of art, DC's unique architecture, and coffee, this is one gorgeous place to visit!Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp is available to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs.

This is a great spot for coffee, there’s not much for food options (bagels and a few baked goods typically). They have an order window outside, making it a great stop when you’re walking your dog in the morning!
Asmara made my daughter’s birthday so easy for us and the kids had a blast! She set up an everything and we were able to just show up and enjoy! Cannot recommend this highly enough!

Consistently amazing coffee, pastries and service. I've regularly going since last
Great open floorplan with an amazing mix of hipster coffee house, mainstream corporate, and hole in the wall no one knows about. They knew exactly what I wanted and made it extremely well, asked me questions for clarification that made sense and didn't make me feel like an idiot for not knowing right away. The barista was a bit soft spoken but it fit perfectly with the atmosphere of the shop.Parking: There is street parking. But actually finding a place can be a huge pain. I would suggest trying the unit block of Seaton place.

Bad coffee. Good pastries, but they probably buy them from somewhere like most cafes.

Creative Grounds is a community safe space and a haven for anyone who wants to step into the embrace of art, literature, and creativity broadly defined. The indoor and outdoor seating options make it spacious and weather proof! It is an ideal spot for a cup of tea paired with a slice of cake, a morning stop for a quick coffee before work, or a place to lounge and work in the company of others. The general vibe is a cafe-meets-gallery that is also a community space and venue for the creative minded.Definitely one of our favourite spots in Bloomingdale ?
