This is based on our brunch visit to Creole. To be honest, the food and service at this place is amazing. I had the honey hot wings, and French toast breakfast. Really delicious food and incredibly friendly staff.Although, this place really needs a renovation of the interior. It looks like a place where the goths go to have brunch (no shade to the goths). Their intentions with the theme of this place doesn’t seem clear. The audio system is blaring loud in the day time, so it’s next to impossible to hear your friends as you are sitting there. Also, they add a 20% service fee to all tabs to cover the expenses of the restaurant, and they made it clear on the bill that this isn’t a tip. This is different than what the website says. All and all, I would definitely come back.

The bar server was aggy and clearly didn’t want to be at work. He got our food order wrong; but once it was corrected the food was very good

The food was decent, salmon seasoned perfectly. I loved the bread pudding. The atmosphere is just a bit much. The music is too loud and vulgar.

The service was amazing! My waitress name was Sharon and omg she is AWESOME!! Her customer service was beyond great! I also spoke with the Manager Ali who was very nice , professional and thankful for the feedback I provided! The food was delicious. I’m back at home and wishing I was still in D.C to go back there. I had the creole seasoned rice, blackened salmon and macaroni & cheese. You will not be disappointed! I highly recommend this restaurant!

I was sooo excited for some Creole food on a beautiful spring day! ??‍♀️ I anticipated having an amazing experience, but it was mediocre. We were seated on time which was good. No waiting. Drinks were over priced and so was the brunch. 65 pp for an appetizer and main course. The mimosas are pre-made which I didn’t like. The food was just ok…nothing to write home about. I’m very disappointed I spent soo much money for a mediocre experience. But such is life….hoping to find some better brunch spots in D.C.!!!

Dangerous place to eat. The restaurant gets people so drunk and creates an unsafe atmosphere. 2 people were shot last night in front of the restaurant and it continues to make the area unsafe. I’ve been there once and they make sure to keep the alcohol flowing. The food was overpriced and small portioned. Not a place you want to go at night or for a cheap date. Be safe and go somewhere else.

Entering the restaurant, I appreciated the live music and ambiance. I browsed the menu beforehand and was excited to try this spot for my friend's birthday, however our experience has me not wanting to return. When first being greeted by our server, she asked what we wanted to drink. As my friends were asking her a question about the drink menu, she rudely cut her off and explained that she had too many other tables to go to and that she was busy. It took 45 minutes after being seated for us to receive our drinks. All we ordered was lemonades, and we even received our appetizers before receiving our drinks. Our server didn't take our entree orders until well after we finished our appetizers. It wasn't until 9:30 when everyone received their food, and even still some sides were missing. Our server was very rude and not attentive at all. She never came back after we received our food to ask how it was, and we had to keep calling over other servers to explain the issues with our missing items and incorrect drinks. At some point throughout our visit, we asked what the policy was for splitting checks, as it was 8 of us. She again, rudely responded that she could only do one check, because anything else would interfere with "her making money". Someone at our table began to respond to her, and kindly asked for a to go box and she began to walk away from us mid sentence. A lot of us were anticipating ordering dessert, but she never even came over to offer any. After waiting a long time after finishing our food, we ended deciding not to order dessert because of the quality of service and how long she was taking to check up on us. We finally called her over after seeing her pass by our table, and asked for the check. After she dropped it off to us, she stood in front of our table on her phone. Eventually, we had to stand up and approach her to pay our check. This process itself also took unnecessarily long. My party did not leave the restaurant until nearly 11PM, again, we arrived shortly before 8PM.I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the quality of service. Although the ambiance and food was good, I just can not get past how unkind our server was and how she was rushing us, however taking her time to check up on us. Other servers however were kind. I understand long days and busy nights, but on this Thursday the restaurant appeared to be fairly empty. Anyways. Great food, however, I would not recommend dining in. I definitely am extremely disappointed, and upset that my friend was not happy with her birthday celebration here.
