My coat was stollen from this restaurant on NYE. I would suggest never coat checking if you do go. I was never contacted with an update and I found no resolve from this situation.

I came here last night for an event and I wasn't impressed with the service at all. It took forever to get a drink whether you were being served at the bar or by the servers. Lots of people were left without drinks, food ended up at the wrong table, it took me forever to get bar service, some of the staff were kind of dicks, etc. The back area is a cool setting but the bar area is dull. I would never come here just for the sake of it, only for events.

I had my birthday at Donahue for a private event room. The service was amazing, drinks were great, food tasted good, and we loved having our private room to play music in. Cesar and his team were so accommodating from start to finish and helping me plan. It was such a great evening! Everyone really enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere!! Definitely a must! If you have a event, or just want somewhere to have food, drinks and to chill with good music, Donahue is it!

This is my favorite place to go unwind for a sexy evening. The bartender Michael is AMAZING! He makes the best cocktails. I love the food here too! Although all the dishes are delicious, my favorite is the braised beef!

Chambongs were super fun. A cute upscale bar in Georgetown. The cocktails were amazing! I believe I had the mirage. Cute spot for a special occasion. I will be back to try other drinks.

Awesome ambiance once you get in and walk down! Has a concierge (bouncer? ) to streamline entry.. very eclectic drinks and a fusion American food selection Our Georgetown student loved it and that's what matters most

Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service! I came in on a Tuesday night by myself and ordered the tapas special which came with four tapas. Consistently they were all excellent! Portions were super generous, all super fresh and prepped and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend and would definitely be back!

I only stopped in for a drink because I was waiting for someone but I'm definitely going to come back for a meal. I love places like this; small, experience oriented, care for their craft. I only had a drink so I hesitate to give five stars but I'm really looking forward to a meal here. The bartender (Brandon I think) was very helpful at directing me to a cocktail that would match the flavor profile I was looking for. I really enjoy a Smokey old fashioned and he suggested the "The less I know the better". Great suggestion. It comes smoked and is mildly sweet forward with a slight coffee taste in the back. Paired with the Smokey bourbon flavor it is a delicious take on the classic. I went on a Wednesday night and was lucky to enjoy some live music (only Wednesdays and sometimes Saturdays). The vibe was relaxed, chill, and intimate. They have a main bar, a lounge, an outdoor seating, and a small restaurant. Perfect for date night, a small group, or to dine single and meet people.

I do not typically write reviews, but this dining experience warrants one. It is easy to walk right by the restaurant that is simply marked by a black door and a man speaking to in restaurant hosts through an ear piece to confirm the reservation before allowing you to enter. Despite being relatively small, the restaurant is beautifully designed. It is clear they put a lot of effort into creating a photo-ready dining experience. They had a DC restaurant week menu on their website with three-course meal options, which drew me to drive over an hour to join my friends for dinner. I will preface my review by saying that I visited the restaurant during restaurant week, so perhaps the experience is better at other times.Upon arriving, my friend shared that the restaurant week menu was very different than online because now there was only the option to select four tapas items. My friends (who have a more restrictive diet than mine) tried to find options they might select while waiting at the bar. Once we were seated, the restaurant week menu we were given was in fact different than the one at the bar and also than the one online.Once we started ordering, we learned they were out of the drink that I wanted and out of the first tapas item my friend wanted. My Donahue drink that I decided to order instead was not particularly good but it was beautiful. I would say the food not being particularly good but incredibly beautiful was the overall theme of the night. My rockfish ceviche was hardly cut and included tissue of the fish that has no business being in ceviche. My friend barely touched her ceviche because she shared a similar sentiment about it. The beef was too salty and the short rib was incredibly bland. The star of the show were the brussel sprouts though. They were well seasoned and crispy. I’d order those again and again. Finally, the complementary dessert that they brought out was clearly a tiny pre-made, previously frozen pastry with half a tablespoon of chocolate moose and a chunk of strawberry. As we went to pay, the waitress stood over us holding the card reader and positioned herself directly next to us to see what we selected for a tip. I always tip well (regardless of the service), but being watched during the process made us all feel uncomfortable. I was incredibly excited to try Donahue, but I was overall disappointed.
