The food was good, but definitely not worth $57 a person on a Thursday night….We ordered four dishes (fermented cabbage toast, arancini, thai fried chicken, and scallop crudo) and had a drink each. Portions were small, even the “entrees.” Will not go back anytime soon for dinner. Our waiter was very nice though.*Came back over a year later for dinner because of an InKind Coupon. The $50 off $50 made the meal more worth it. But still expensive for what youre getting.

The Rose Cardamon Latte (hot and iced) is on point - the breakfast brisket sandwich is delicious too. Nice neighborhood cafe.

We had dinner here on a week day evening. The vegetable dishes are delicious; a must try! We also had outstanding service. We were really impressed by the experience.

Maybe closer to a 3.5. I had the prix fixe dinner, which included: - Snacks plate (4/5) - Nice shot of mushroom soup, great butter to go with the bread, tasty pickles, etc - Beef tartare (3.5/5) - Solid - White fish with crackers (3/5) - Maybe I have an overly specific idea of what whitefish salad tastes like, but this dish wasn't super smoky, and the fish itself was more chunky than creamy. Not bad, but not quite what I was expecting - Rockfish (4/5) - The best dish of the night, nicely cooked and really flavorful - Cheesecake (3/5) - Solid The cocktails were interesting but not super memorable. The ambiance and service were really great, so although the food wasn't mind blowing, Elle is definitely still worth a visit for dinner.

Coming in the morning to get some bread is a pain, the service is painfully slow. Once, I was next in the line, the person behind the counter served the person in front of me and then just turned away and started chatting with another colleague, looking to the other side of the bakery there were 2 other workers chatting away like there is no queue. So I had to ask quite loudly if anyone is working here and if anybody will sell me bread in this bakery. On various occasions I waited in a queue min 20 and up to 40 min, watching how people behind the counter move slow and just ignore the fact that there is a huge queue! The service is appalling!2 stars just because the bread is good. As this happened on a few occasions I decided to leave a review. Please train your staff to have a sense of urgency, respect and value your customer time, because those people have places to be!

While in line for La Tejana breakfast tacos, I kept seeing people walk past on the sidewalk with fresh breads and a cute canvas tote bag with a drawing of cats (and cat butts). So after we were done with tacos, we visited Elle to share sweets and coffee: Thai iced tea donut, guava turnover, snickerdoodle cookie and chocolate chip cookie. Got the last baguette and donuts at 12:30pm. Please try the sourdough baguette especially if you want to impress folks with a quality cheese board. The donut was one of the best donuts of my life. Thai iced tea flavor was not overdone with a balanced sweet icing. The donut was the springy, soft and nicely fried, I was impressed. Long line went quickly and employees were friendly and efficient with our treats and coffee (Tandem Coffee Roasters from Portland, ME). Rose Cardamom latte was very strong on the cardamom and could not pick out the rose flavor. Would ask for less flavoring next time, and I love cardamom. Trendy indoor space with a bar, sit-down restaurant and cafe section right inside the front door. Cute floral arrangements and unique original art on the walls.

Warm inviting atmosphere, busy on a sunday morning but not too long of a wait for to go coffee and baked treats. The biscuit here - warmed up! - is one of the best I've ever had. Amazing texture and flavor. The cranberry orange scone was also fantastic with just the right amount of glaze, not too sweet at all. The scone also had rosemary which paired so well with the cranberry and orange. Personable staff with great recommendations, I would be happy to return!

My daughter and I had brunch there when i was in town. The pear & kale salad was delicious (and I typically don't like kale), we both got breakfast sandwiches, I got the one with brisket and loved it!We got there about 11am on a cold Sunday morning and had to wait about 20 minutes to get seated.Vegetarian options: The breakfast sandwich is the bomb, and served vegetarian style... ya gotta pay more for the meat.Wheelchair accessibility: The place is small, and there are no steps. Half the tabke ere low tables that you could have a wheelchair at easily.

The food was great when we came for dinner. The 10% service fee is very confusing. We didn’t know how much to tip on top of that. Going to dinner shouldn’t be a guessing game and it’s arguably poor service to put guests in this position. Just raise the prices or charge a 20% service fee but don’t expect a tip.

This is good food, no doubt. Very complex and thoughtful combination of flavors. But the portions are tiny. Like really small. We spent $53 a person for one drink and food and left hungry. Service was mid.. it didn’t seem like our server was interested in making the meal a special experience.I won’t be going back for dinner.

Food was great. But two problems. Food is too expensive, and they require a mandatory 10% fee on your bill for staff health care or something. Them have the audacity to imply that you should to an additional 20% on top of that (they imply this by having that “convenient” calculation for you at the bottom of the bill for what 20% would be)So, rather than pay your staff, your passing on the cost to customers with food that’s too expensive AND and expected 30% tip?

I live near Ellē and love coming here for a little treat. I am a vanilla latte lover and they have one of my favorite vanilla lattes...they're just a bit expensive, so I only get it when I'm really wanting to treat myself. Pastries and breakfast sandwiches have always been great. I love that they have kimchi! I finally came here for cocktails with a friend recently, too. And it was an amazing experience! Nothing on the cocktail menu was really speaking to me, but the bartender was so great and made me a water lilly after I told her how I like citrus and crème de violette. Will for sure be coming back whenever I want to grab cocktails close to home. Still need to try dinner here!! I've heard good things from neighbors.

We had just a tea (loose leaf) and a desert, but it was really good. We loved the cosy vibes.
