Reviews looked good so we came here for dinner. Waiter and waitress not really engaged and had to ask for water, straws and extra plates to put shells from our dishes. Food very mediocre. Wonton soup was OK . Very small wine servings for $10. Better value the bottle at $33. Won’t be coming back and certainly doesn’t live up to the reviews posted . Just got the check and they have the audacity to add 20% for their mediocre service….

This was the vegetarian version called Pad Thai Pak. Note their pad Thai has shrimp in it. I'm a foodie and this was very good. Fresh ingredients and fast.

Such nice people! Authentic Thai with outstanding flavor and service was delightful. Have Thai beer cold and ready. If I lived here I’d hang out here!

Food was awesome, service top. Curry very balanced and not too hot. Strong tasting ingredients (e.g. onion, cilantro, lime) served separately - a big plus.

This place is very good. I had one of the chef specials and a duck dish, both were cooked very well. The service was nice and they were friendly. It was a Monday night so the restaurant was on the quieter side, but that’s fine. I definitely would go back for more food here.

I ordered the Ka Prow with chicken for lunch and it was delicious. The service was great and my food came within a few minutes of me ordering.

The food was okay. The dessert (mango and sticky rice) was good. Though, it was my first time having that, so I can't say how it compares to other Thai places. The pad Thai was good. The vegetables in the panang curry were just not cooked enough, but the flavor was good. I'm pretty sure children never go to this restaurant because they seemed not to know what to do with him (like giving him a drink filled to the brim in a glass cup). But everyone was otherwise nice and helpful.

Decent food. The curry however was very soupy and not thick at all. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have no other choice. Also portions are extremely small. Not worth it.

It's always good to find comforting food in the heart of the city.. specially in DC where you walk a lot to do tourist things!!Not far from the gallery palace Chinatown lies @haadthai with a family friendly atmosphere and very quality service staff!!We tried tofu tod, spring rolls both of which were fresh and crispy!! I had a bad throat so instead of Thai iced tea I tried the recommended jasmine hot tea and that red comforting!!Lastly, I had panang Curry which was less spicy than what I usually like!! So I would recommend asking it to be made spicy.Do visit and let me know your favorite Thai restaurant in DC[The jain food ranger, jain foodie, thai food DC, Jain Thai food, Jain food DMV, panang Curry, tofu tod, Spring Rolls]Dietary restrictions: Jain option available

A sad, depressing curry.I think this panang chicken curry may have finally crushed my love of Thai curry. How would I describe a delicious Thai curry? Warm. Rich but happy. Hearty but with a side of rice. Depth of flavor but subtly sweet. This curry was none of those things.I'm pretty sure what I recieved was Thai cafeteria food. Oh someone ordered curry, let's take precooked chicken, pour a cup of curry sauce on it, place four pieces of steamed broccoli on it and garnish with a slice of raw red bell pepper for color. Oh and don't forget the ice cream scoop of white rice. The chicken was bland, the broccoli was steamed and there wasn't enough curry to soak the rediculously small amount of rice provided. I asked for a second as scoop of rice because it was making me sad, but I had to eat it plain because there wasn't enough actual curry in my curry to flavor it.And there I go with sadness again. Maybe my experiences with "good" Thai food are lies. This is the third "bad" Thai curry I've had in the DC area. If this is average Thai curry, I simply have to stop recommending people eat Thai curry unless they know the curry is exceptional. Find an Indian place you'll be happier.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in DC. Haad Thai is great for lunch, dinner or even takeout. They also have a small bar where you can sit if you are by yourself. The food is consistently good and tastes very authentic. My go-to is the Pad Thai with shrimp. Each time I've gone the wait staff have been very accommodating and friendly. They really seem to work as a team at this place. The menu prices are reasonable for the area.

Don’t go here - the food was mid in terms of taste, the utensils and serving glasses looked dirty. The protein portions in there fried rice and drunken noodles were almost non-existant. Very disappointing. They also charges a large gratuity for bad service ?

Excellent food, and the female server was very professional and nice. However, the young male server who stands by the bar was extremely rude. We left a cash tip on the table, and since I paid the tab on my credit card, I left a very small tip to cover tax. He went to our table after paying and asked why we didn't leave a bigger tip. Honeslty, we won't come again because of this, and I don't know who he thinks he is to question customers over a tip at a base thai restaurant.

Great murals, good service, and delicious food! The Tom Kah soup hit the spot for my Thai cravings and then at the recommendation of our server, I also ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the Gai Goang Sub with a medium spice. My husband that is not as adventurous for spicy ordered the Hawaiian Fried rice which we liked. We finished with their fried bananas and coconut ice cream. Yummy all around! The staff was attentive, friendly, and polite.Kid-friendliness: We brought our 8-month old with us, so they seated us at a slightly larger table so we could keep things out of our child's curious grasp.
