I never been here before, but this was the first of many visits to come. The greeter was funny, the waiter gave recomendations and the food was awesome. Money well spent.

Food is okay, but service was terrible, was told that we could split checks than told we had to pay in one card.

My wife and I ordered a Siciliano pizza, cannelloni, and meatball. The cannelloni was dry on the outside and bland on the inside with no seasoning or flavor. Meatballs are not great quality beef and also tasted like it lacked seasoning. The pizza was great and it’s the only thing worth ordering here. The service was bad, and the waitress checked on us once the entire time. I noticed she checked tables that ordered alcohol at least 5 or so times. Happy to try it for the experience, but overall disappointed in the food and service.

Went out for a girls night in the city with my girl friend and ate here! Italian dine in restaurant that is authentic to Italy: ??waitresses are all Italian, party music, fancy atmosphere, beautiful outdoor seating with strung white lights, and gourmet food! My friend had the Margharita pizza and I had the GF penne with Pomodoro - best cherry tomato sauce I’ve ever had! The Watermelon Spritzer mock tail was also really good. Our waitress went out of the way to take care of us - she was extra sweet and hospitable.I will be back to eat dinner here sometime in the future - affordable with a high quality menu ! This place deserves a FIVE STAR RATING?Dietary restrictions: gluten friendly options!

Delicious mushroom ravioli! Nice spot for lunch, but be aware that there’s a lot of construction happening outside in the area.

Food was amazing! I ordered the gnocchi and my friend a pizza and it was all delicious. I think I pissed off the server because I kept trying to order before our group decided their dishes (I didn't know I was supposed to wait since I thought I could just order and he wouldn't have to wait for it and come back later for the rest but turns out that was rude, sorry! I was also super hungry and wasn't thinking clearly ? He made sure I got my dish first and was super nice about it though) Overall great experience and I would definitely go again :)

The service is top-notch. They're very passionate and committed to quality Neapolitan food and it shows. Servers are very nice and attentive. I had the prosciutto and cantaloupe for an appetizer, which also comes with arugula. Very fresh and delicious. I decided to go with the veggie pizza, which tasted divine. The tiramisu and americano were dessert. Again, well-done!!!

Very good service. Would rate the food very good, not in the great category. We very much enjoyed it. This was our first visit to IL Canale. Had seafood pasta and personal pizzas.

First time visiting DC came across this restaurant. Did not have a reservation so i was placed on a 20-25 mins wait list. I was pleasantly taken to my table by the manager after he noticed my discomfort with the host up front because he said he called our names and we didn’t answer and skipped our names and didn’t want to let us in. Overall, food was amazing the restaurant is beautiful, my waitress was very polite and professional. The only hiccup was the host! Needs more costumer service experience.

Being honest the only good thing was the food. But it took sooooo long to get the food, and our server was rude, he was barely checking on us, it got to the point that another server had to took our order because he never got back to us, be yeah we definitely saw him in other tables. I forgot his name, but he mentioned that the other server who helped us was his "wife" (I hope this helps the manager to identify him) The thing that really pissed me off is that he got mad because I didn't gave him any tips.Overall, not what I thought, I think my expectations were too high for what they are. Also the food was good but it didn't changed my life, so I don't know why it is so famous. Last but not least I recommend to not come here on peak season, maybe that is why it was so chaotic. And also do not have big expectations like me, so you won't get out of there with disappointment
