Nevee got my food. Bad experince. I'm sure it's good. Wasn't for me.

The food tasted good, but portion sizes were small. We came at the end of happy hour, which ends at 6:30 now. A few minutes after we ordered we wanted to add an item but had difficulty getting our servers attention. When we finally did, we were told it was two minutes after happy hour so it'd have to be at the regular price; so they are not the least bit forgiving on the happy hour deadline. Also, be aware that they reduce portion sizes for happy hour orders. After some basic math, we determined that we actually paid more per piece of food for the happy hour orders. So be aware that for food orders, happy hour is not really a deal.

Came here for dinner with my wife. It was better than I expected. I like the variety of cuisine options. We ate the Filipino fried chicken. It was delicious, three meaty pieces. However, you may still be hungry, so may want some sides. The belgian fries with garlic aioli and truffle were nice and crispy. My wife had the Madam VP heritage bowl. That was great too. Definitely recommend and want to come back.

Unsatisfactory food-to-cost ratio and a dodgy receipt (5% wellness charge, plus 20% gratuity for a party of 4). The "chef's recommendation" gumbo was two shrimp, several bites of chicken, and half a handful of rice over a bowlful of greens. The staff was great but the quality did not match their prices: I walked away still hungry after a $17 entreé.

Immigrant Food is located very close to The White House in DC, and their food is a celebration of the immigrant cultures that enrich America (an appreciation perhaps heightened by my reflections from a visit to the American Food History Project exhibit at the National Museum of American History earlier that same day). I understand that Immigrant Food also has a number of advocacy initiatives and partnerships with immigrant-focused organizations actively working to amplify marginalized voices and promote inclusivity, and I admire their efforts. As for the food itself, we weren't too hungry when we visited, so unfortunately, we didn't get to sample too many dishes. But I will say that their butternut squash soup with date-sherry caramel and caramelized almonds has got to be an underrated hero. It was supremely comforting, especially after a chilly walk outside, and would make the perfect start to any meal. I'm looking forward to being back here for a more 'proper meal' someday!

We had a fantastic brunch at immigrant food. The patio was great and all of the staff work together. Thanks so muchto Keitrin, Deisy, Christopher, David, and Alex. My recommendations are the havana, cafe calma, and turkish eggs!

My wife and I just ate here for lunch and it was an underwhelming food experience for two reasons:1. The price to food ratio was very poor2. The bill had undisclosed feesMy wife and I both got bowls, me the VP Heritage bowl and her the Viet Vibes bowl. Mine was very small and had about three bites of chicken. Hers was slightly bigger but left much to be desired in terms of flavor. Both felt tossed together, simple protein and carb over greens, rather than cooked with care. When we checked out I requested a receipt and only after reading the receipt in my email did I notice a 5% wellness charge. I went back and picked up a menu to read the fine print - this is a charge supporting employees’ healthcare and benefits. This is an admirable thing to offer employees, and could be a good talking point, but it’s essentially hidden from customers at checkout, which is not admirable. The location looks nice inside for a downtown lunch spot and the employees were the level of nice and attentive you’d expect from a fast lunch spot, no complaints there.

Casual fast food. Expensive, but the quality makes it worthwhile. Had fries, wings and Cuban sandwich and all were excellent. Good place for a quick lunch.

Be careful with this place:1- Very small portions.2- They charge the bill with abusive concepts, e.g. insurance for employees.3- They calculate 20% gratuity by default in each bill.Beware of this place and check your bill well.

It’s a great place for brunch. My immigrant poke was delicious, lots of fish and wonderful sauce. We took a table outside and enjoyed the pleasant spring sun. Highly recommend!
