Meh. Contrived decor and mediocre, bland food. Definitely paying for the view here. Service was solid.

This place is beautiful. Great service and definitely a great place for a photo opp. I did dinner here and got the Salmon and truffle fries. It was good. I can’t complain. Our server’s name was Raul and he was so nice. He answered all our questions and was incredibly patient.

I recently dined at La Vie Restaurant and had a delightful experience. The ambiance was elegant and inviting, setting the stage for a memorable meal. I opted for the lamb chops, lamb swarma hummus, and roasted chicken, and each dish exceeded my expectations. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful with a beautiful charred exterior. The accompanying lamb swarma hummus was a unique twist on a classic dish, adding a depth of flavor that complemented the lamb perfectly. As for the roasted chicken, it was juicy and succulent, with a crispy skin that added a satisfying crunch to every bite. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Overall, La Vie Restaurant offers a culinary journey that is not to be missed. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.

I hesitated before giving this place a 3-star at the risk of being unfair, but I cant get myself to give it a 4-star rating. The ambience is great, the view of the Wharf is fantastic and the quality of service is amazing (both the waiter and the busboy were courteous and friendly). My major issue with this place is the food! When I first glanced at the food menu, I found it very very limited covering only half a page, while the wine and spirits menu spanned the rest of the 17 pages! I thought to myself: it's ok. this is an upscale place that focuses on a select exquisite food menu. Anyway, we ordered two appetizers: the mediterranean medley and the "truffle" frites. The mediterranean appetizer was fine (nothing out of the ordinary at any mid-level restaurant), and the truffle fries were sub-par (the word truffle here is used very loosely as I tasted nothing resembling the original excquisite taste of expensive truffles). I feel they used a cheap-grade synthetic truffle oil that ruined the appetizer experience. At that point, I had already ordered the truffle gnocchi for my main course and it was too late to cancel or change it. I was disappointed yet again: no semblance of truffle taste and the dish was swimming in oils that I couldn't finish it.I would only come back again for drinks and to enjoy the view. The food is a complete disappointment.

I came to this restaurant for my friends 21st birthday and we all sat down. Everyone orders a drink and doesnt get ID’d, then later on I ordered a drink and they ID’d me ( keep in mind we look the same age ) I dont know if it was a racial thing or what since I was the only african american person at the table… its weird vibes at this restaurant. all the waiters walk past you and look at what your doing but its excessive like your getting watched the whole time. I wouldnt recommend. Besides that the restaurant is beautiful. Small menu. you will spend about $30-$200 per meal.

I didn’t read the reviews but the fact that this place doesn’t have 5 Stars is mind blowing. I’ve eaten around the world at Michelin rated places and this ranks in the top 5. No pretentiousness (I was in cargo shorts and a polo with two kids) and incredible service and food. I made a snap reservation on Open Table during Bloomaroo and couldn’t have been more impressed. The food was great. The wine list solid and the service incredible.
