A very nice experience in the main dining room or on the patio. The fois gras is amazing. I was a bit disappointed with the steak fries though. Meat was tough and salty.
Everything on the menu looked delicious and I'm sure it is. We had onion soup to start then the New York strip and the Salmon, with creme brulee for dessert. With loud, vibrant atmosphere, a handsome server, and every bite exquisite, my wife and I loved our visit! This will definitely be our must hit during trips to DC for high end French cuisine!

This is a DC staple. Any DC native knows about this spot. It’s a reliable bistro French restaurant. The food is always great, the service is always great and you can rely on it to always have a great atmosphere. They have certain dishes they are known for and are go to, like the French onion soup and the streak frites. Highly recommend.

My wife and I hadn't been there in a few years and returning was swell. We had a perfect breakfast with eggs benedict and poached eggs Basquiase, Croissants, a latte and a café gibraltar. Our waiter was fantastic.

If there’s one thing to come for it’s the burger. One of my favorite burgers, if not my top burger ever. So simple, yet they execute it to perfection with great quality ingredients and attention to detail.And actually, there’s plenty more reasons to come here, the great service, atmosphere, the amazing fresh baked bread, the mac and cheese, and the delicious desserts!

Overall I'd say the experience here was bad, but the food was somewhat redeeming. Definitely not out of the park amazing but mostly good.The issue was the service. Our server couldn't have cared less. They didn't check in on any course. Specifically, we had ordered the duck and it wasn't cooked properly (fat wasn't rendered) but we never had the opportunity to tell the server and ended up eating less than half of it. She didn't even inquire when she took the plates away. It also took over 20 minutes for her to being the bill and we weren't asked about dessert (which we wanted to order but it took too long). Wouldn't come back, unfortunately.
We came here for brunch so ended up with a burger and French toast.Food was very good. Cappuccino was very good and reasonably priced.

Ordered the curry chicken salad sandwich. The bread, as pictured, is burned. The chicken salad is fine but didn’t have a particular flavor, the curry was weak and the mix of the sauce and avocado just made it a creamy mess. Other breads were good, fries we ordered for the table were good. Atmosphere is fantastic.
