Cappuccino is great. Pastries are over-rated. Breakfast is good for the price

Just met up with a friend there for breakfast and all of our food was really good, as was the coffee, chai, and ambience. I had a cauliflower and something frittata that was great and he add avocado toast with cheese (maybe gruyere?) and bacon (!). I recommend and look forward to returning.

I'm a fan of French eateries. This is a good spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch. The food is simple but done well...breads, pastries, soups, sandwiches, salads. The ambience is delightful, like being transported to a cafe in France or Belgium.Service can be a bit slow, & the food is pricey. I ordered the following for lunch:-Smoked Salmon Tartine$17.00-Belgian Hot Chocolate $5.25With Tax$2.22 & Tip$4.00, the Total bill was $28.47.I've eaten here a few times, but since it's pricey I go only as an occasional treat.

Good food, good service, and SO cute. Definitely on the pricier side but check it out if you're visiting.
Le Pain Quotidien in Penn Quarter, DC, offers a delightful dining experience that combines wholesome, delicious food with a cozy and inviting ambiance. As soon as you step into the restaurant, you're greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries, setting the stage for a delightful meal. One of the highlights of Le Pain Quotidien is their selection of freshly baked bread. From traditional baguettes to hearty whole grain loaves, each bite is a testament to the bakery's commitment to quality and taste. Their pastries are equally impressive, with flaky croissants, decadent tarts, and delicate pastries that are perfect for a sweet treat. I loved the pain au chocolat! The menu at Le Pain Quotidien features a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, all made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Their avocado toast is a customer favorite, topped with perfectly ripe avocado, cherry tomatoes, and a sprinkle of herbs. For lunch or dinner, their salads, sandwiches, and tartines are flavorful and satisfying, with options for every palate.

I had to wait a long time to come. People who came later were guided all the way, and there was a place right after the seat to wash the water. The service was not so good. The food was okay. I won't go there twice.
