Steve is the man!! Best Matza Ball Soup in town!! They have an amazing selection of sandwiches. The pastrami and corned beef was awesome! Definitely worth stopping in when visiting DC!
The bagel itself was great! Tasted delicious. The reason for just 3 stars was because of the service. The woman there was taking our order and she definitely looked like she did not want to be there nor take our order. Definitely had the New York attitude that I do not want to see outside of New York.

Exceptional sandwiches! DC's NY Deli that is better than most anything you'll find in NYC. Seriously, they have the flavor and ambiance of Katz's in NY or Manny's in Chicago, just in a smaller space. They've been around over 60 years, and will be around for another 60 with food this good.
I went here for the first time this morning. I ordered a knish, latkes, and a sandwich. Everything I ate was delicious. I've been missing deli food that makes me nostalgic and reminds me of my family - this did all that! The woman who took my order was so nice and her service, the speed in which my food came out, and its deliciousness cemented I'll be back so soon! Best traditional style knish, latke, and best chopped liver sandwich I've had in a long long time. Thank you!!

Okay. I've walked by this place every other day for a year now, and something in me said: today's the day you try this place! Go in! A few people came in after me, so I knew I probably made an okay choice. The lady next to me said 'it's good. You'll like it.' I loved the deli vibe inside.I got an everything bagel egg and cheese sammich with scrapple and a side of corned beef hash. The place was getting busy. My order came up in about ten minutes. Not too shabby. The cashier puts it in a plastic bag.I take it back to my building and pull it out. The sandwich is pretty good. The corned beef hash is my issue; it was packaged by a mom that doesn't love you. They put it on a paper plate that completely soaked through with fat and then covered over it with foil.. so the hash fell out when I unrolled the foil. The hash was $8. I dunno. I try not to be one of those uppity eaters, but it was a little bit of a pricey breakfast that was marred by packaging weirdness. Shrug.

A good NYC deli. The staff is not rude, just in business mode trying to move the line along. I had the chicken salad on rye California style with a side of chili ... it was a cold day. I'll come back again.

Did it take 45min? Was it not delicious? This place does everything right, quick service with amazing food and a staff that cares about running a business. If you are worried about prices move somewhere else..

I see a lot of complaints about the service, and dinging them for it. The people aren't rude, it's just a New York deli. Take all the time you want, just don't get in the way. Don't get to the register and then start looking at the menu, with ten people behind you. This is a give-money-get-sandwich place and that's it. I'm not a connoisseur of corned beef, but the next time I want it, this is where I'll go for it.

This place has THE BEST sandwiches, and enough for 2 meals, which is good, because the prices should be enough for 2 meals. Probably best deli in DC. Breakfast until 11. They have a serious problem with burned out light bulbs. Probably half the fluorescent light bulbs were burned out. I told an employee and he said to talk to the cashier, but she was busy and I didn't want to bother her. So maybe she will read this or someone who does can tell her? I believe she is the owner. Otherwise counter ordering and they bring the food to you. Plenty of indoor tables plus a few outdoor. Big selection of desserts. I can't figure out how to order online because they don' t have a website and they aren't on grubhub.
