The food is good but there is some sort of hidden fee. My bill was much higher than it should’ve been according to their online menu. I called to ask about it and they said there is a 4% service fee, which neither the waiter nor the menu discloses. Still, my bill was about 10% more even account for a 4% fee. I understand restaurants need to make a profit, but the waiter or menu should disclose whatever this fee is. Bad business, will not return.

It wasn’t good at all- the burger was completely pink on the inside. It looks like they dumped a bunch of black pepper on top of the burger for ”flavor”. It was inedible. The fries were mediocre and the sauce it came with, which has the appearance of a ranch or mayonnaise-based sauce, was incredibly vinegar-y. Really disappointed

The meat burgers looks amazing and juicy. The atmosphere is really cute. Server was outstanding, but my vegetarian burger was super disappointing. But the reason why I am receiving them three stars is because…well so I’m primarily a vegetarian and was delighted they have a vegetarian meat option. 25% up-charge which is insane…and when my burger came out it was one little sad vegetarian patty on a bun basically.Looked over at my friends plates where they had these huge juicy double beef patties and I just thought…why do restaurants do this thing where they basically only have a super sad pathetic option for vegetarians as an afterthought and then charge you a pretty insane up charge for the privilege of eating mediocre food.None of that is necessary. They could have made an identical burger for the same cost or even an upcharge that makes sense like $2Will never be back and will tell my vegetarian friends the same. $30 for a very underwhelming burger and a Diet Coke.Vegetarian options: You’re going to get a tiny patty that tastes try and meh for 25% upcharge.

Visited the DCA location and was underwhelmed by the food, prices, and service. I had the Lucky Bun burger and it was a less than mediocre burger and prices at $20 with no sides. The bun was hardened like it had sat out for a day, the cheese wasn’t melted, the burger patty was a flavorless smashed patty, and sauce gave the sandwich a little flavor. The price for such a disaster was greatly inflated, especially for just a burger. The service wasn’t any better than the food. The wait staff stood around chatting instead of tending to their customers, I sat waiting for 10 minutes for a refill on water.

On the Wharf strip bouncing from spot to spot, and we “luckily” we stumbled into Lucky Buns. Cool seashore themed decor, friendly staff, and upbeat music. Plus, the drinks strong and tasty. Definitely worth paying a visit even if it’s just to grab a drink, or two, or three ?

My daughter and I ordered burgers with a basket of fries. Both burgers unexpectedly came loaded with peppercorn. I love it and it was no problem. My daughter hates pepper, and couldn’t eat it. Neither the server or the manager could explain. They offered to take it off the check but we declined. The meal was ruined and we were not going to wait for another one at 9:30 pm. ….and they cleared my beer glass before I was finished.

After a bourbon tasting across the street at Jack Rose Dining Saloon, my friend and I walked into the original Lucky Buns inside what looks like a corner bar on a Thursday evening around 9 p.m. We got a table right away and within minutes, we were enjoying hot thick fries and burgers. The "Bogan Bun" was excellent if you like bacon. (It comes with bacon jam and bacon.) "Lucky sauce" is on most of their burgers and it makes it pop. Service was excellent, treating you like regulars.

I was served meat in my burrito after stating that I wanted it plain (I am a vegetarian and haven’t eaten bacon in almost a decade). Servers should check they are serving people the correct food. The servers are really nice, and everyone else enjoyed their food — but please: check with your patrons!! Make sure you know their dietary preferences.
