The service is stellar! The presentation of the food is beautiful and the taste of everything we had was absolutely incredible. So delicious! The dessert topped off the entire meal! Definitely recommend and definitely will return when in DC. Thank you Victor and his team!

Good service. They need to be educated about what a white fish is, which is not simply any fish with white flesh. Trout is not a white fish, bass and snapper are not white fish. White fish are basically bottom fish, with no taste that don't tattoos either!

Food was delicious, but we waited for an hour for it. The drinks are good but it takes 30 minutes to get one. They were not too busy, they were just slow.

This place really won over my heart, you know? It's got everything going for it - food, drinks, and top-notch service. Oh, and if you're into wine, they've got these awesome wine flights so you can taste a variety of wines. And their cocktails? Let me tell you, they're strong and expertly crafted. The food? Absolutely incredible - beautifully presented and surprisingly spicy. And for all the veggie lovers out there, they've got some really great options. Although they're a bit limited, they're definitely quality picks. Our server was just fantastic, so attentive and made sure our night was truly special and unforgettable. It was our date night, and randomly walking in turned out to be such a win - we snagged a prime table without a reservation. But hey, word of advice, make a reservation in advance, especially during peak times. This spot was conveniently close to our hotel, so we thought, why not give it a shot? And boy, are we glad we did. That oyster mushroom al Pastor, the broccoli with black beans, and their guacamole? Simply delicious and expertly prepared. Sure, it's a bit on the pricier side, but let me tell you, it's worth every penny. I wholeheartedly recommend giving this place a try for a delightful dining experience.Vegetarian options: oyster mushroom al Pastor and broccoli with the black bean and guacamole

This is a really great little spot for creative takes on traditional Mexican (Oaxacan) dishes. The service was excellent, from the moment we walked in and were greeted and seated by the host, who was there to open the door for us as we departed, to the perfect service from Sergio, who also made our drinks. It is a cute spot with some great decor, but the tables were a bit close together and we were seated by a table with 5 people that I almost felt like were sitting at our table. It didn't feel like it needed to be that way, so it was a little confusing. We absolutely loved a few dishes and like the others. The Hamachi Tostada was delicious, as was the Octopus in Pink Mole. The Lobster Octopus in two moles (black and green) was really good, with perfectly poached lobster and delicious sauces. For me, this dish would have been a bit better with a rice as opposed to the mashed potatoes that accompanies as it just made for a funky and heavy texture. Finally, the Tamal was a let down as it was pretty bland and had a cakey texture. I would not get it again, nor recommend. They also had some creative and delicious cocktails and I wish I could have tried more of them. Excellent choice in DC!

Wow, I’m so happy I tried Maiz64. I’m Mexican & this place made me feel like I was back home with the stunning food & excellent service. My boyfriend & I had a wonderful time on Friday as we tried multiple cocktails, the octopus ceviche, and the poblano lobster. It was so hard to narrow down cocktails to try because all of them sounded amazing. We’ll be back to try their brunch menu!

In times of terrible service everywhere, this place is an exception and a real find. From the food to the ambience and the extremely wonderful staff, I had the best birthday dinner here tonight. The food was fresh and delicious. Easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in D.C. This is a dining experience not to be missed. I highly recommend it.

Best traditional Mexican food ever in DC, from the manager Victor, Chef Cristian and the lady who made tortillas Ericka. The service is incredible. Great hospitality, they make you feel at home. I LOVE MAIZ64. You must try tacos de barbacoa and for sure conchas with hot chocolate.

Not for me I suppose. Most of the food was bland. The fish was razor thin and burnt. Shrimp taco and the guac was about the only thing I enjoyed. Horrible beer selection. Good cocktail list. Went home hungry after $150 tab.

Service was excellent . Drinks were great but wasn't to excited about the food . Had ordered a lot of different things . Quite pricey for the quantity and the taste . Also had gone there to celebrate wife's 50th birthday with friends......nothing from the restaurant side to make it special.

Don’t waste your money in this place. I had to wait 35 minutes for a simple drink. There understaff on a Saturday night. Food was nothing especial the ceviche was decent but dessert wise it’s not what I expected the mil hojas dessert with the cheese on top disgusting.
