This was the only food/beverage option open around 10:30 on a Friday night when I checked in. I ran down to grab a quick beer only to find that last call was over and they wouldn't serve anything. Not a great look for a bar advertised to be open until 11...

I was charged $25 for a glass of house red. The server made me feel very uncomfortable. This server is a complete snob and treated me like I was unimportant after asking for a glass of house red and telling him no to the $60 bottle of wine he was pushing on me! I was embarrassed because people were watching so I paid and left. I’m disappointed in myself for not standing up to him.

Environment is perfect for a cocktail before dinner, chairs are comfortable and the mocktail that my wife had was perfect.

*sigh*I genuinely dislike leaving bad reviews at bars and restaurants because I work in the industry, but I couldn't let this one go. Drinks were not portioned correctly. I watched one of the bartenders on service bar make a Manhattan without measuring the vermouth. And I don't mean a free poured spouted measurement. The vermouth had no pourer and he did not use a jigger. He did use a jigger for the bourbon, and then proceeded to add 6 dashes of bitters and then SHAKE the drink (note the foam top in my photo. This is an indication of a shaken drink). This is all around poor practice because you're giving the guests a subpar product but it's being masked with the excessive amount of vermouth used. I don't mind free pouring, but be consistent; measure everything or free pour everything. For $17 I shouldn't be drinking a markedly different Manhattan than the one that I watched being madeSpeaking of the jiggers, service bar does not rinse the jigger. Just from a sanitation perspective, this is not ok. But from a health standard, if you have a gluten free guest who orders vodka, you're running the risk of giving them an allergic reaction because the jigger has not been sanitized after pouring bourbon. Most people wouldn't think to consider the bar as the culprit of a reaction, but it is unacceptable for the bartenders to use this as standard practice. There were two bartenders on duty and they both didn't sanitize the jigger, which shows that this is acceptable behavior. The saving grace for this review was the jazz series and the ambiance. It's a beautiful space and I came here specifically for the live jazz, but needless to say, if/when I return, I will not be ordering anything outside of bottled beer.

Although the hotel leaves a lot to be desired, the bar is the jewel in the crown, with a cozy vibe it has left the very best impression on me. With their absolute hospitable, kind host and staff, and delicious burgers with a beautiful presentation, they really make the word hospitality come alive. I highly recommend the bar. Every time I go to Washington is a must-go. The service and pampering of the staff makes you feel at home, and they will make sure to go beyond, for their guests. They gave me one of the best experiences I had in D.C. Shout out to Hugo an amazing cook, Joseph the best bartender in town, and their manager Sunny, they are what makes this place as amazing as can be.

I have never given such a low rating bu this was just horrible. A lunch buffet for $33 per person while everything was cold and without taste. It was amazing how they can serve this. Never ever go there

Stopped at the Marquee Bar and Lounge while attending a conference at the National Omni Shoreham in DC before heading out to dinner. Nice wood paneled bar with excellent drink selection. I ordered a dirty martini and a friend ordered the Bourbon Shoreham. Both drinks were made well. The bar has tv monitors displayed where you can watch sporting events. You can also order food. Definitely will be back during my stay at the Omni.

I was treated very badly at this restaurant. The waitress had me sitting at my table for about 22 minutes before I had to call her to give my order. I'm disappointed at the service the server gave to me today.

The cocktail list is very well done and the cardamom old fashioned is incredible, although very strong.Service is great and atmosphere is what you'd expect from a historic, quality bar.
