The food is salty, especially the meat with onions, very salty, dry, not juicy or tasty, the place is nice but if they cook with less salt, the food could be better, which is more important since one pays to eat well.

Great food, and even great customer service.I remember going to the place few years ago when they opened and it wasn’t crowded, and today i was there i had to stay in line for a while. Happy to see finally this place attracting huge crowds, i’m not surprised, they got some good quality food with great staffs and clean. I love their sancocho!

I love the Caribbean vibe. The Goat is tasty and tender, the Chicken is great. Emanandas are the best.

The food was amazing!! I got rice and peas, with chicken, and plátanos maduros! This food reminded me of my family gatherings. It was very well flavored! I also got chicken empanadas. I got my food from Grubhub so I can’t speak on the atmosphere, but it was on time and hot on arrival!

Mechos has the best authentic Dominican cuisine and vibe in DC. Coming from NY - I really missed Latin Caribbean restaurants but Mechos makes me feel like I’m home again!

One of my go to spots right here. Been a fan of Los Hermanos for a while but was pleasantly surprised to find Mechos close to home. The food is always savory , fresh, and authentic. Service from the staff is always great. Plenty of food and drink options to chose from . Sundays are a fun time here as well .

Mechos provides me a sense of home, when as a kid, I would hit up the Cuchifrito on the Grand Concourse with the culture of nuestra gente!

Authentic, fresh and delicious Dominican cuisine. Staff is always friendly, nice place to sit. Plenty of options but the sancocho is my favorite here.

My last experience here was horrible . The cashier was very rude and nonchalant, and the food was mediocre .
