Cool ambience and nice concept. This is a cool bar inside of an abandoned metro car in north east dc. The staff is always friendly providing good service and the drinks are amazing.

Very cool spot. Drinks took a bit long to get but the atmosphere and live music definitely made up for it! Will definitely be back here soon!

This is a great place to get a drink! Francis is the best. Makes the evening truly incredible. Idk what he makes but he certainly deserves a raise!

Went for St. Patties day with my kids and it was a nice vibe. The metro rail car is so cool. All the staff were friendly and they even had a face painter! It is BYOF so there’s no food expect popcorn they make, but there are food vendors. It was pizza when I was there. Would definitely go back!

genuinely the most horrible service I've ever experienced. waited 35 mins for my margarita (that I had already paid for + everyone else I was with ordered after and got their drinks) and when I nicely asked them they were so rude to me. rip.

Loved the place, great vibes. We went tonight, on a Wednesday, that according to the Website they offer happy hour until they close at 10PM. However, we were told by the bartender that HH all day just ended last week and it was no longer available. Hmm ? Misleading ad.

I've been wanting to see metrobar for a few years since it's obvs where all the super cool Metro fans should hang. I didn't realize what a great outdoor space it is, or that it's won some awards for how great it is, so I'm glad to know those things now! I got there around 7 on a more wintery than springy February Saturday; people (and their DC dogs, of course ❤️) were starting to come in. When you arrive, it's like you're walking into an outdoor beer garden/picnic area; there are picnic tables, enclosed heated seating areas, and fire pits surrounded by seating. An outdoor bar is at the back of the picnic table area. Nice music on the speakers, the ambiance is really cozy! And then, you see it: the Metro car bar! It's berry cute. It's like a Metro car-turned bar diner, complete with octagon tiles on the floor! The Silver Line drink is soooo delicious, fizzy and refreshing. They had a food vendor there selling tacos, I think. Bar service was just.. not super excited to be there? Not to be down on them too much, but I felt kind of underwhelmed by the bartenders' energy. But it's a really cool spot and us Metro fans are lucky it exists!

The staff at Metrobar literally just kicked a Black Man out for complaining about service and alleged that he was drunk. He wasn't drunk. The service at the bar is slow. He expressed that to the bartenders. The white female bartender accused him of being belligerent, he wasn't. High level black professionals trying to spend a little money and have a good time. ONE. STAR.

Such a cool spot for live music. The bar/business is a converted rail car. My partner and I went there for the first time for a live jazz jam session, and it was great. There was a food truck where we got typical bar food like wings and fries. The service in the bar was great, and you ordered your drinks via a QR code, which makes ordering and paying super easy. And they bring your drinks right to your table.

Very cool concept and definitely worth your time! There is plenty of seating inside when it's colder or inclement weather, both within the train itself and the covered connected area. There's also a large outdoor seating area which would be lovely in the spring and summer. The cocktails might seem simple, but they're effective and use local distilleries as much as possible! I also loved that they had hot cocktails during the winter - very much welcome. They also have mocktail options listed on their menu which is perfect for those that don't want alcohol. There is a good selection of beer, wine, cider and liquors. Food is only available from food trucks on a rotating schedule, so check it out online on their website. Otherwise, Bryant Street Market food hall is just across the street! Service is typical bar service, but also there is a QR code available on all tables inside.

Cool spot. Music , an old train car which also serves drinks . Can take family there too. QR code to scan drinks and food at the table.

Really cool spot. Nothing else like it. The bartenders are friendly and the drinks are great. They can get crowded on the weekends, but it’s not as bad during the week. One of these days I’ll make it out there for
