I'd give it 5 if it weren't for both of these dudes refusing to cut ties with a serial rapist

Support an entirely locally made treat! Bangkok Bliss brought back memories of creamy green coconut-y curry of Thailand; the flavors are complex and perfect and the chili lingered on my tongue. Also, they make two flavors incorporating another local entrepreneur called Undone Chocolate, which is an artisinal chocolate made from fair trade DR or Nicaraguan beans. Collaboration at its best! Not only does this team come up with inventive, original, and curious flavors, but they are a fun duo with their own quirky style. Look out for their brick and mortor shop sometime this year.

I just bought two pints of Milk Cult ice cream from Whole Foods - the Salted Popcorn and Bread & Chocolate. Horrible!!! Neither of them were the true consistency of real ice cream. The Bread flavor was chalky and icy - and the chocolate taste was poor/too subtle. The popcorn was incredibly mushy. The company would have been better off just simulating the flavor of popcorn, rather than putting the actual popcorn product in the ice cream (clearly, the ice cream turned it into mush). I felt like I was eating vanilla ice cream with chewy mushy popcorn. Stay away! Milk Cult needs to vastly improve their product.

I've tried Milk Cult twice and to be completely honest I don't remember what I got the first time since it was awhile ago. I do remember liking it a lot though, which made me super excited the second time I was able to get my hands on another Milk Cult creation. The second time was at their stand at the Farmer's Market near Smithsonian metro. I tried their Milk & Honey w/ Corn Flake Cookie ice cream sandwich. The ice cream has just the perfect hint of honey flavor and is sandwiched between two thin corn flake cookies. The cookies crumble rather easily since they're thing so make sure you have napkins when chowing down! I absolutely loved this out-of-the-box take on an ice cream sandwich, but I only gave it 3 stars because of the price. For $4, I was hoping to get something bigger than the size of my palm =/

Definitely recommend this place if you like food. Went there for breakfast tacos because I needed them. Best breakfast Tacos I've ever had. Also coffee was perfect. Looking forward to going back... And trying their ice cream sandwiches.

Milk Cult was part of the Union Kitchen (the food incubator) Catering crew at an event recently held at 1776 (the tech incubator). They were serving a salted caramel milkshake and an avocado milkshake. Both were delicious and refreshing on a hot 90 degree+ DC day. Not sure where the milk is sourced from, but it'd be nice if that were indicated on their website somewhere, or at the booth. I like knowing those sorts of things. Hope to see more good things and more creative flavors from this small business!
