Amazing from start to finish! Such an incredible experience...and I mean experience. The food was creative and delicious, the service personal and thoughtful...we just felt good when we left.

I am truly a pick eater so anytime I'm able to do a full tasting menu with no worries about having eating restrictions I jump at the opportunity. Oyster Oyster has such a carefully crafted menu for vegans and vegetarians alike. The only element that is not vegan is the oyster they serve as one of the tasting elements. Other than that, it is truly a vegan person's heaven. So much fresh vegetables cooked in ways I literally could not have dreamed up. The Gnocchi mushroom dish served with the broccoli bread was my absolute favorite part of the menu. The bread was served with marigold butter that absolutely blew my mind. Do yourself a favor and also try the Non Alcoholic tasting menu to accompany your dish as it was such a great way to get more fresh juices and tonics to accompany the meal. I highly highly recommend this place to everyone and a round of applause to their excellent service as well.

Theres a parking garage right next door so we didnt have any issues finding a parking spot. A smaller space than expected so if you do show up early, you'll likely have to wait outside or take a quick walk around the block like we did. When we did come back, our table was still being prepared but that was probably the bumpiest part of the evening. A quiet and quaint little space, it was definitely cozy. They have mocktails and wine but only 2 options for beer which was a little disappointing but the wine recommended ended up being perfect for me. The food was definitely the highlight and I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful and amazing everything was. I really loved the lions mane and we were all very full by the end of the night. We were sent home with a copy of the menu and my mother in law got a little keepsake for her birthday. I would definitely recommend coming here to try something a little different than the other Michelin restaurants and just in general!

One Michelin star and 2023 James Beard best chef in America. I got the Vernal (early spring) tasting menu, which is prepared vegetarian or vegan. Everything tasted delicious, but for me the pumpkin seed gnocchi with the mushroom ragout really stands out on the menu. The folks at this restaurant really care about sustainability (like having plates made out of pressed used wine bottles). I also recommend the wine pairing. Service is top notch. This is a restaurant you should not miss when visiting Washington DC.

My husband and I are big meat eaters, but we really enjoyed their vegetarian-predominant menu. At $135/person, you can choose between an all-vegetarian menu or to substitute one of the amuse bouches with a raw oyster (the seafood kind). I am not a fan of raw oysters, so opted for the all-vegetarian menu. Each course had unique flavors and textures. It was really fun to try foods from different preparations. For a restaurant that serves mostly seasonal fungi and vegetables, I was not expecting so many preserved vegetables. They all tasted good, so no complaints there. With the multiple courses, the meal was actually pretty filling. The most unique item I saw there? The oyster shell candles.

Outstanding quality vegetarian dishes (with one oyster dish). Creative flavor profiles and care in the details. Very smooth and enjoyable experience. They gave out a little stone mushroom as a souvenir for birthday and it was a memorable and heartwarming touch. Would definitely try to go again!

I was so excited that I was able to snag a reservation at Oyster Oyster home to James Beard Chef of the Year for 2023 and Michelin star restaurant. If you a devoted meat eater, you should come and see what great vegetarian cuisine can be. The restaurant is small with great staff who are incredibly knowledgeable. Do get the wine pairing and if you're a lightweight like my friend and I, they'll let you split a pairing. The food was revelatory and delicious and the pairings were spot on. Terrific meal that I truly enjoyed! Def recommend!

Oyster-Oyster is plant-based heaven! And the wine pairings are demanding crowd pleasers. O-O is the one place where omnivores and vegetarians in my family are delighted to dine.Vegetarian options: The only non-vegetarian dish is one oyster. The other oysters are mushrooms.Dietary restrictions: The staff contacted us ahead of time to inquire about dietary restrictions. They also verified our request with us upon arrival.

The food was delicious to be sure, but also throughly inventive and appealing to the senses in every way. One has hardly ever described vegetables as star ingredients and savored every bite and delighted in the different textures and essences but here you do and it’s an experience. You will taste carrots in a new way, you will delight in beet mousse (like a fancy ice cream, even, but as a savory dish), and the delightful corn two ways in the dessert with a tasty ice cream. The absolute star of course is the lion’s mane mushroom - hearty, sumptuous. I would go back to have that entree alone.Service was impeccable, and what you’d absolutely expect from a restaurant that has a Michelin star. All the dishes and wine /zero proof pairings were explained so that you had a complete sense of what you’re eating. The pairings absolutely brought out the taste of the veg. It was also excellent to know what the sourcing of the main ingredients were (well done, Blue Star farms).Well-lit, well-appointed, albeit small inside, but it’s nice to have a viewpoint into the kitchen and see the chefs assembling dishes. It deserves its Michelin star.

This was my first fancy Michelin experience, and it was a meal I'll never forget! Came here to celebrate my birthday and was left speechless after some of the courses. The staff were accommodating to a T. The music was great, the vibe was great. The staff were extremely poised and knowledgeable. A fantastic experience as a vegetarian. They do things with vegetables I didn't know were possible.

I really enjoyed this place! The service staff were some of the best I've ever encountered and I really enjoy the detailed explanations of each dish. I opted for the all Vegan experience and I didn't feel as if I was losing out with the few adjustments they made to a few dishes. Oddly enough one of my favorite dishes was this side of beans with Vegan cheese, I'm not sure I've ever had beans cooked with that much flavor. I appreciate that they had a non alcoholic drink pairing, it really added to the experience. I'm not a huge mushroom fan, but I was seriously blown away by the main dish at the end. The mushroom was so much like steak in taste and texture, I'd say it's probably the closest I've seen anyone come to nailing the "meat substitute".

It was absolutely scrumptious and worth every penny. I'm not vegetarian and thought I'd miss the meat, but nope! Also, it's adorable inside and all the staff were so sweet.
