Food is decent and ambience is ok but not so great. Service was fast and staff was friendly. They have good deserts especially tres leches was great. However I will choose other options in DC because it’s not worth the price.

Best indian restaurant in DC! The whole team was friendly and welcoming and Max made us feel right at home.
Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, friendly service!Max was incredibly attentive, the cocktails were perfectly curated. Will definitely be returning!
Service was excellent and food was pretty good. The prawn vindaloo and daal fry, in particular, were tasty. However, portions are quite small for the price (and seemed to have shrunk, along with an increase in $ over the last year or two) so wouldn’t say it’s good value for money, especially when compared to other comparable Indian restaurants in the DMV.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. We adored everything- superb service, lovely ambiance, great music, delicious drinks, and of course, incredible food. We’d give it a 10/10.We ordered the Goan Smoke to drink— must order if you love mezcal! For food we had the veggie samosas, lamb biryani, and chicken tikka masala and would recommend all.
Highly overrated. The food quality is extremely low compared to other Indian restaurants in the downtown DC.

I have eaten hundreds of samosas throughout US and Asia. Pappe's vegetarian samosaa were by far the best I have ever had. The shells were light and almost fluffy. The contents were fresh with a nice texture. The chicken pista korma was light, yummy and perfectly seasoned. Everything else was good too. The restaurant was very pleasantly decorated and reasonably quiet. The manager also gave us recommendations for other ethnic restaurants, each of which was good, but none as good as Pappe.Vegetarian options: The vegetable samosas were the best we have ever eaten!!
