This place is an absolute gem. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and unpretentious. We had nachos, carnitas, fish and lamb shoulder tacos and everything was delicious, although the fish tacos were probably my least favourite out of the bunch. Our 8 year old had the American tacos and just inhaled all 3. They accommodated us serving the salsa roja and jalapeños on the side. The place is tiny, but has a real neighbourhood vibe, well worth a visit.

Make sure you check your to-go orders. I really wish they had a phone number. Maybe they do, but I couldn't find one conveniently. I just left the Mt. Vernon Triangle location (5th & K) after having walked there and back to/from my office (30 minutes total) on ordering lamb birria tacos from the lunch menu. On opening my bag, I found a torta/tortilla. I love the food but not a happy camper today -- will definitely check my bag from now on. I tried sending this message on their website but it wouldn't allow me thinking I was a bot...

5 star service. Food was awesome. I tried lamb birria, was 3 tacos in corn tortilla and include a broth to dip the tacos. Was espectacular and full of flavor. Also the Elote and the Burrito de carne asada was delicious. Julio was so helpful and servicial. Certainly we will return. Portions are huge. Hope they add a mexican soup and Coke zero in the menu. Thanks for the food and the service.

We went to Rebel Taco for the first time tonight after living in the neighborhood for years. It certainly did not disappoint. The portion sizes were very generous and the food was very good and tasted very fresh.The waiter was so friendly and even gave us chips & guac to take home for free. We will definitely be coming back!

This place looks so nice I’m bout to vacation in DC Easter weekend and I can’t wait to go there and eat some of the food. The vibe looks so great I will be there standby for the pictures.
DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could give this place zero stars I would. While I was there we saw a large RAT on the patio and a MOUSE inside. The restaurant was clearly under construction as there was construction equipment next to the tables. Absolutely terrible experience.

Stumbled upon this place while leaving another event. This has got to be one of my best random finds! Located in a pretty high traffic area, good luck finding a parking spot. I wouldn't be surprised if most of their traffic was just foot traffic of folks already in the area. The place has an upstairs but it was closed at the time. So based on the downstairs I wouldn't come with your whole crew of 10 people but you and a couple friends can be seated comfortably. The vibe isn't trying to be too cool and it's not divey. It's just chill. Anyways more importantly, the food is delicious! Let's get straight into it! The guacamole, fresh and delicious! The queso, yummy. But... the papas... had guacamole and queso on top of fries... WHERE HAVE I BEEN?! DELICIOSO!! Can I eat fries any other way?! Yo no sé. I got some shrimp tacos, that were good day of and the next day!! I asked for my food to go and the gentleman asked if I wanted some salsa to go too! I said sure! And this was no ordinary salsa! This salsa was made with love, this was no salsa out of a jar. And he taped the lid closed so it wouldn't open and taped the bag of chips closed. The small things really do add it. So make your way here, you won't regret it! Salud!
