A couple of months ago my fiancé and I were roaming Georgetown to find a place for dinner. We are an ethnic couple, and dressed presentable that night but nothing fancy. We saw the outside of this place which we thought looked cute but had no reservation so we figured we could shoot our shot. We go inside, the manager looks us up and down and says there’s no tables available without reservation. I had seen a couple of tables empty but figured they were for those with reservations. We turn around to leave and see a white couple enter the restaurant behind us and they ask for a table for two. They’re asked if they have a reservation and they respond no and the host said no problem and said we have tables open…. I was mind blown and disgusted with their behavior but left without a fight because I didn’t want to be served in a place like this. Now that I see they have stolen money from Covid relief funds and other people had rude encounters too, this place deserves to stay shut down.

We ate here in June, the weekend before they had their fire. Such a cute, romantic spot, and the service was perfect! We can't wait for them to reopen!! The appetizers we had, grilled polenta topped with mushrooms in a gorgonzola sauce, grilled shrimp in a spicy sauce and the fried calamari, were absolutely fantastic. The best calamari I've ever had, hands down. We both had pasta for dinner--linguine with white clam sauce (OMG delicious!) and seafood pasta in a spicy marinara sauce (my husband LOVED it!). We had to have tiramisu and affogato for dessert--the tiramisu was perfect and the ice cream with espresso also perfect. The perfect end to a perfect meal. We were hoping to next time get a seat on the balcony--please open ASAP!!

I had an incredible dining experience at Ristorante Piccolo in DC, and I must say, the manager truly made it exceptional! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. The manager's attention to detail and genuine care for the guests was evident throughout the evening. The ambiance of the restaurant was charming and cozy, setting the perfect mood for a delightful meal. The menu offered a delectable selection of Italian dishes, and each plate we tried was a culinary masterpiece. The flavors were authentic, and the presentation was impeccable. But what truly set this experience apart was the manager's personal touch. Not only did they recommend some outstanding dishes, but they also took the time to engage with us, ensuring that we were enjoying our meal and having a wonderful time. Their passion for their restaurant and dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience was evident in every interaction. The manager's presence elevated the entire evening, and it was clear that they cared deeply about the satisfaction of their guests. We left Ristorante Piccolo with full hearts and satisfied taste buds, and we cannot wait to return for another memorable dining experience. If you're looking for an authentic Italian meal in DC, with a manager who goes above and beyond to make your visit extraordinary, Ristorante Piccolo is the place to go!

Probably the beat Marsala in D.C. I've had so far. Their food is very good. This is the second time I've come here and I'm so happy I did. My only regret is not ordering the scallops again this time around because last time I came those were sooooo good. The service is good but this time around we it took us longer to get seated even though we had a reservation. The manager was outside on the phone so we waited for him. That's the one thing I didn't like this time around. Other than that the vibe is that of a traditional Italian restaurant. It's perfect for a date night. The lady and I really liked it and we plan on coming back.

I paid $40 for noodles and chicken . And the platter it came in wasn’t even filled . There was no host so I stood at the door for about 10 minutes . Service and pricing was terrible .

Nice quaint place. The atmosphere was quiet and great for a conversation. Our server was ver kind and offered a big smile. There are a few vegetarian options. The restaurant offers many traditional dishes and made in house pasta. Very good!Dietary restrictions: Offered a few vegetarian options however, not many gluten free options.Parking: Street parking available. Can be hard to find. There’s also a garage around the corner.

Great experience. We found this gem randomly as we were walking down the street and decided to try it. The mussels were really good. They even had a violonist!

Here’s a photo of their $32 lobster ravioli with a sauce that’s “filled with lobster chunks.” I actually chuckled when I got my order delivered. Pasta was fine; definitely better places in DC.

We got in here last minute on a Saturday night and the staff couldn't have been more pleased to seat us! The house wines were delicious and we started with a few apps, disappointed by the clams (only 4/10 of them were empty shells), but all the entrees were great- can't go wrong with any of the fresh rolled pasta choices. Overall a fun meal!

Waiter was not so nice, the restaurant was empty and he made me get out of a 5 person table because I was alone. What he doesn't know is that I am someone who eats out every day .. but not going back because of him .

It's not bad, but definitely not the best Italian spot in this area. I personally will not be going back. The service was interesting. The person that seated us was a bit rude. However, the other two folks were kind. The ambiance is a nice casual spot. There's a balcony, outdoor seating, and inside seating. The balcony only fits like 3 tables. We ordered the Parpadelle D'Angelo and fettuccine oceano. I wouldn't recommend the Oceano. It's a lemon Alfredo like cream sauce. However, it was very bland and unflavored. The Parpadelle meat sauce is reallyyyyy gooood! Get that! They say the Oceano is the popular dish, but it's not a safe one. I think it's a hit or miss. They give complimentary bread and that was alright. The Chardonnay I got was $15 for the glass. It was alright. I've had better Chardonnay. Honestly, just go across the street to Il Canali, better food and service.

Service was fabulous!! Super nice and attentive staff. Ambiance was old world Italian style. It was super cute. Food was amazing!! The drinks were strong, the house manager made my son a drink because they didn't have lemonade. He loved it! The mozzarella fritte was so so good. Best mozzarella sticks I have ever had. The seafood dish was divine! Rich and full of flavor. We loved the pizza and meatball appetizer. Just a well rounded delicious meal!!

Saw a review that talked about the food not having any flavor, not sure if the chef at the time had a bad day or what, but I can't agree with any of the statements‼️Some of the best Italian food I've ever had in the United States ?Everything is made from scratch, the pasta, sauces, salad dressings... and all ingredients were super fresh!- Burratta Al Altopiano (appetizer)? With fresh basil pesto and sun dried tomatoes.- Insalata Toscano Tristate: ? Very light, but incredibly flavorful.- Tortellini Carbonara: The pasta was perfectly aldente The sauce was thick, creamy, with fresh herbs and so flavorful.- Fettuccine Oceano: the biggest chunks of lobster, scallops and ?, definitely worth the money ?- Tiramisu: ?? Also made in house, and absolutely delightful! (Have an espresso with it to compliment)Jorge & Frankie: incredible service, from being greeted outside at the door, to allowing us to sit upstairs, away from everyone so my bf could answer work calls without disturbing anyone. Everyone was personable, fast and the atmosphere transported me right into Italy.Paid street parking available.Outdoor seating available.

Ristorante Piccolo has potential, but needs some improvement. The service is very good. The food is ok at best. The tagliatelle with lamb rage is good, nothing special. The tuna was clearly frozen and then reheated - not fresh. The wine is very overpriced for the quality (Gabbiano Chianti is priced $16/glass, but a bottle is under $16 at the store). The tables are way too close together in the back on the first floor making it extremely loud. We had to practically shout to have a conversation.
