Cute hole in the wall, the food is very good, good drink menu, affordable prices, the mussels were very good, and good portions. I’d definitely come back.

Excellent beer in a basement that serves a great selection of Belgian and monk-ist beers. Beers are affordable ($8-15), especially because most of them are higher in abv. I didn't have a chance to try the food, but I'd come back to try mussels! Their menu looked intriguing. Service was a typical bar but their seating was very cool chapel pews. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Bartender was efficient and seemed to have quite a few regulars at the bar. Overall a quiet place to have conversations! I'll be back.

Best Belgian bar I've found in the DMV area. I lived in Brussels for 3 years, and this was like a fresh reminder of how much I miss it there. All the great Belgium beers I've been missing were under 1 roof!

By far my favorite place in Washington DC. The muscles are always great no matter what flavor you get. And I love Belgium beer, high octane, but great flavor.

Fantastic spot. Randomly popped in here because I saw a La Chouffe sign through the window. Damn was I lucky. Their list of beers on draft is phenomenal and bottles to kick. I didn’t order food due to time constraints but sat next to someone who did and they smelled perfect and I almost moved my flight to eat there. But the environment and staff made it. Amazing vibes, perfect beer bar.Jim is a phenomenal bartender. One of the best in the biz. He was so attentive to everyone at the bar yet made you feel like he was your personal bartender. Great guy. Will become a regular stop for me on my quarterly visits to DC and you should add it to your stops too.

On a cold late night, we weren't ready to head home but many bars were already closed. A friend suggested this place as it was a favorite for mussels and other seafood so we headed over. I can only rate this place based on the beer selection, but absolutely loved our visit. This place is off Dupont Circle, kind of half way in the basement. It's dark and cozy, with lots of art and items around the Belgian beer world. We took seats at the bar - the bartender was immediately welcoming and friendly with us. Their draft and bottled list is long, mostly focusing on Belgian breweries or Belgian beer styles. I opted for their house beer - a Belgian dubbel which was rich and delicious, the perfect beer to slowly sip on a cold night while talking with a friend. This is a great spot for Belgian beer and seafood if you're in the area.

Great apps and main course. I had the Thai Basil Curry pictured here with linguine and my friend had the Aron’s Original and the Voda Cream Sauce mussels! All were very good. Service was prompt and the value was worth the price! Try them out and I know you won’t be disappointed!
Everything was excellent including the drinks! Food was so good forgot about taking pictures! We will return!

What a fantastic venue! Kat is an amazing hostess and everything I've ever gotten here is delightful - one of our regulars for sure. It is a bit pricey if you don't make happy hour, but great for a nice get-together with the guys once in a while.

The food is mediocre at best. Had steak and frites and the steak was over done and seasoned. The frites are just basically frozen French fries you’d get at a dive bar. Go to Granville Moore’s for the real thing.
