Some of the best wings I've had in a while! Sat at the bar for a quick pick bite. I remember coming to TallBoy when it first opened and the vibes were still the same. Great bar food, diverse crowd. Our bartender was friendly and attentive. All was well until I heard a scream a few seats down from me. I looked down and saw a huge roach scurry across the floor. I have the biggest bug phobia so I was pretty done after that! It's going to take me a while to recover from that ??

I used to frequent this establishment upon opening but not so much anymore due to diet and schedule. Decided to go in a get some wings last month. It was a horrible food experience. I took time to go in since no one answered the phone to explain my issue and potentially get a refund. The woman at the bar didn’t offer me anything and was told that she couldn’t and to reach out to management. I was able to get them by email and they apologized and said I would get refunded. It’s a month later and I still haven’t received one nor a follow that I asked for. So I can only take that as a huge slight. The money wasn’t gonna break me but as customer for years, a true foodie, and a generational DC native I have to write this and share with others. Hopefully they figure out a way to do what’s right before I speak with the food commissioner.

First off, I don’t expect much at bars and rarely leave a bad review, but my experience here was hilariously bad. I felt like I was on some hidden camera show pranking customers.Cant rate the food because i wasn’t offered any, despite being 1 or 3 people in the place.It was like I didn’t exist, bartender was too busy on their phone. If you like service, don’t go here cause you wont get much.
