Great service and atmosphere, but the food is overrated. I got the french toast, has brown, sausage link combo and definitely would not get it again. The hash browns were undercooked, the sausage links were bland. The French toast was excellent, but doesn’t make up for the rest of the plate that - frankly: sucked. I got sweet tea which was good but the server didn’t offer a refill.

I've watched a manager see a kitchen employee mishandle a customer food by putting a burger patty on a dry cloth that you use to whipe down counters because the burger was hot when he grabbed it and still served it to the customer. Eat at your own risk!

Ok. Hear me out. Who goes out to eat for a salad? I mean with so many things on the menu, why would you? Because... The Ted Cobb is that delicious. I've had it twice in a week. I can't believe that I've waited so long to try this place, but I'll definitely be back... Oh, and the chocolate peanut butter creme pies are simply wonderful. My husband likes his chilled. I like them at room temperature. However, I digressed. Go, enjoy the amazing service team, the amazing management team, and the great food.
Had been to Ted’s for brunch years ago and decided to try it for dinner while in town. We loved it so much we went twice in a week! Our server Kay was excellent and everything we ordered tasty. Pictured here is the lamb mezze plate and steak frites plus the Oreo cake. We also enjoyed the chicken and waffles and shrimp tacos. Don’t forget to order a tart to go for breakfast the next day! As and added bonus it is on a corner so Uber drop off/ pick up is easy

Blueberry pop tarts and banana fosters boozy milkshake were delicious. Cherry blossom tres leches was ok. I bought an extra four pop tarts to bring home with me to Florida, they were that good, and I regret not going back one more time for another milkshake. That being said, the woman at the bar at 9:40 pm on 4/19 was one of the nastiest waitstaff I have ever encountered. My friend took me in there for a quick shake and snack after a show at The Black Cat that let out at 9:30. She immediately told us they closed in 20 minutes before we even stated what we wanted. She made faces and her eyes literally bulged from her face as she waited for me to look over the menu, having never been there before. Sorry I took 5 minutes? The look on her face was one of pure disdain that we dared to walk in close to closing time. You have a job because of customers. If you don't like it, find a new one. For management, she has two nose piercings. I don't know her name. The entire time I was there, I was beyond pissed, then for your system to ask for a tip. No way.

Service sucked. Our waiter kept flirty with the girls in the booth next to us and we had to wait 10mns to ask for our check. We had to sit there and watch him make a fool of himself with these girls (lol). Meanwhile, the girls were completely out of his league, but I bet they got a free meal or two from that idiot waiter.

I look forward to coming to Ted's every time I come to DC. I've tried two locations and I am still in love with this place. I highly recommend the steak and eggs burrito with a pop tart.

literally the minute we sat down what can only be described as a ZOMBIE MOUSE crawled out from under our seat and slowly hobbled across the floor. It’s hair and skin were falling off and it looked like it had narrowly escaped death three times that morning already. Our server came and swept it up with a broom and looked at us and said “haha oh noo!” It was shocking. It was also upsetting that the manager only came and apologized to the elderly couple at the table behind us and NOT US who literally watched it crawl out from under our feet. He also told the couple WAY too much information about how they’ve been doing a new form of pest control for over two weeks and it’s not working but that’s why the mouse looked so decrepit. Like, sir please stop this is horrifying lolAnyway the Bloody Mary was awesome
