Shockingly overpriced. Service was inattentive and slow. We waited almost 30 minutes after all of us were finished for our plates to be cleared. The noise level was so high we couldn't have a pleasant conversation. The only positive was the food was good. Overall a big disappointment, especially considering we paid $100 per person without a bottle of wine.

Update to the response from the restaurant…I don’t think you read my review, because you did not meet my expectations.Went here on a Wednesday night to celebrate a birthday with two other people while in DC. Had reservations. Hostess and maitre d were very friendly. The place is clean and lively. Assistant waiter came over and filled our water glasses. Only interaction with him was to say hello and thank you. No response from him to either statement. That fact and the look on his face made me feel like our presence was a nuisance. We didn’t even ask him for anything. Waiter was great, but clearly over-worked. He was running around the entire time we were there. Don’t know if someone called in sick or if they are short-staffed in general. They put two large tables together behind us for a larger group. A few minutes later, another waiter came over and started pushing our table away from that table…out of no where…no warning. Not cool but we rolled with it. But then the guy continuously bumped into one of us as he moved between our table and the larger table they had put together. Over and over again. I guess he should have pushed us more. It stopped when he caught an elbow. Totally unintentional…the elbow was only nine years old, but it seemed to do the trick. When we first ordered drinks, our waiter offered to have some “American Idol rejects” come and sing happy birthday. I told him that would be great. We had dinner. The salmon was incredible. Cooked perfectly. The filet was under-cooked, but great. The lobster tail was over-cooked and chewy. The mac n’ cheese side was a mistake to order. After ordering dessert he broke the news that they were too busy to sing happy birthday. I could tell they were cranking, so no big deal…but, two of us went to the restroom and when we got back, the owner of the nine-year-old elbow told us that while we were gone for five minutes, they had sung happy birthday to the table next to us. ??? Really? …ok. Dessert was 10 out of 10.I went here a few years ago (before covid) with a DC regular and the service was over all much, much better. But to be clear, our waiter was great. It was the assistant waiter and the body-check waiter that weren’t.

It is not for anyone under 45. My goodness I think every one is in a senior citizen home and the bus dropped them off. Went for happy hour. My god. Food was decent. Bartender is older. No knocking it but not my type of atmosphere

This steakhouse is a real gem in D.C. It's been there for a very long time and has artist renditions of politicians and local celebrities all over the walls, ambience is very unique! The service here is always great, they actually have some professional waiters which is rare these days.Food has generally been excellent across multiple visits. The crab cakes and steak are stand-outs. The most recent visit we tried the clams casino and weren't really impressed, I would suggest re-working the dish or just removing it.

Not sure if the chef was having an off night but the food was absolutely horrible. Very bland! The presentation wasn't much better. I had the bone in ribeye with black truffle risotto and green beans. My wife had the papperdella dish and my daughter had the filet mignon and fries. All bland! We did have an awesome waiter. A little slow, probably because he was clearly past retirement age but he did a great job!

This place should be on your bucket list. I've waited two decades to try The Palm and it was worth every minute. I tried the veal chop. Oh my!

We dined in the private room near the front with windows. All the hard surfaces made it very loud and hard to hear the person right next to you. Food and service were great.

Absolutely outstanding service and fantastic food. 10/10 would recommend Absolutely everything. We got the shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque, filet mignon (cooked rare), my friend got their salmon and mac and cheese (forgot to get photos) but both were delicious! HIGHLY
