I go here pretty regularly before UFL games. The service is consistently good and occasionally excellent. The smash burger, the spicy chicken sandwich, and the wings are all really good. It's a great spot to gather prior to doing something in the area. highly recommend. I wish they would open a little earlier on days there are noon games.

We are visiting from Canada and she could not have been more accommodating, she set up TV’s for us to watch hockey, got us busy reservations for multiple nights, and truly made our first experience in the area one to not forget! 10/10 recommend.

The bartender (Sarah) is fantastic, her was customer service was awesome and outstsnding. She was warm and inviting. Lorraine the mangers, was also a pleasure to meet; great you at the door with a smile. I had a fantastic time. All the bartemders and servers were amazing. Will definitely go back. One of DC finest.

We generally come here before ot after games and have always had a decent time. Tonight we had an issue with the self taps unfortunately charging when nothing was being poured. I mentioned this to one of the managers, Laraie? (Sorry for the spelling) but ahe was magnificent, fixed the charge, gave me a bonus credit and got us a round of drinks. For the minimal effort of request, she went above what I expected and I complement her for that. With her here, you have a dedicated fan.

I didn’t eat during my last visit, as I had just left the Nats game and was stuffed. We had an issue with the beer spouts, and the staff went above and beyond to help out. Excellent service! I’ve been here a few times and the atmosphere, service, and drinks are always on point. Great spot!! It’s part of my repertoire now ❤️❤️

Met a friend here before a DC Defenders game at Audi field. Despite a Nats game going on and the football game happening later, the staff handled everything very well. They were patient as my friend was late, and people buzzed everywhere.They have a very good beer selection, something for everyone.The cheeseburger was cooked just as I requested and the fries were crispy and well fried.I want to explore more of the menu.Will definitely return here, whether before a Nats, United or Defenders game.
Walter’s is a cool bar with an underage drinking problem. We went in after Nats game to watch basketball and were surrounded by overly drunk Catholic U. Freshman. They said it’s the easiest bar to get into. Sucks because the bartenders are cool, lots of TVs…didn’t have any food.Kid-friendliness: Lots of underage drinkers.

Seemed like a very fun sports bar. Unfortunately I was going in apparently the wrong door (despite a herd of ppl going in) and security aggressively grabbed me by the collar and pulled me out of the bar, nearly tossing me to the ground. I was singled out of the 30+ people. The security staff ruined my jersey with how hard he grabbed me. Absolutely unnecessary. Eventually I realized it was the wrong entrance but it’s hard to tell that when all you see is a herd going through that door. Very unprofessional security staff. Walter’s may just ruin your day, not worth it.

WARNING: This location has 2 different reservation booking systems and they did not honor our reservation on Toast. Wait a few weeks (as of 30 March 2024)before you book or walk up. Several tables were empty and apparently already reserved from 4:30-9:00 pm.
