I thought the food was average diner food so I give Bear diner 3/5 stars for that but the staff was so friendly and helpful which I upgrade the overall to 4/5 stars for that. I ordered take out and had to wait only a couple minutes but in that time the cashier came over to let me know the food was being prepared and 2 of the wait staff came over to check on me and say hello to make sure I wasn't waiting to be seated. My food was all packed up and the cashier even offered to carry it out for me because he could see my hands were full with my toddler. Great service! I will definitely be coming back!

Their breakfast food is a hit! We always get the waffles, bacon and some sausage gravy. That waffle is seriously so good. The lunch and dinner food is a bit less appetizing. As a breakfast place though, it's cheap and delicious

Food is average. The service is laid back. It would be nice if they made it clear what they expect customers to do with tabs. Leave at table? Go to counter? Shouldn't be up to customer to figure it out for themselves.

Food, waitress, wait time, all incredible. 2 stars because the owner will not allow the serving staff to take more than 20% tips home with them due to THEM having to pay out more on the business side. Bring cash because that's unjust and illegal and the serving staff deserves better.
