I paid $86.95:for 3 ppl. My 1st time ordering and my platter had to be the one left behind. Instead of my pepper steak platter I got someone else's food. I don't even know what the dish is. To make matters worse, I called 20x before they picked up the phone. I will not give you a 2nd opportunity to fail. But, for those willing to give you a try, do better! Quality service is just as important as the quality of your food.

I first started going to this establishment a few years ago because of word of mouth but this place is going downhill. The portions have gotten smaller, the prices have gone up and the food is becoming mediocre. There used to be a young lady that worked there that used to take care of everyone and made sure that the place ran smoothly but now there is some older woman who's only concern is how much money she can get you to spend. I have had the curried chicken which was good when I first started going there but sometimes, when I get it now, it's under cooked or I get three small pieces and mostly gravy. Once, they ran out of rice and peas and they threw some kind of sauce over some white rice, which was so nasty! I have also had the jerked chicken which is pretty good but not enough pieces! The price of the oxtails is ridiculous beings that you get mostly gravy and a few small oxtail pieces...very disappointing. I have not had any other dishes but based on what I have had, I would go back if I'm craving something spicy every once in a while but not on a regular basis.

Great food.This place is pretty busy at lunch. It takes awhile to get in and out. Not terrible but expect to spend roughly 10-20 minutes waiting in line, ordering, and waiting on hot food. I have tried calling ahead, but have never had any luck. So I don't think this is an option.my opinion is the food is worth the wait.

I normally come here because your food is one of the best in New Castle county. Today wasn't a good day. This is the first time were I found hair in my food. After waiting an hour to to place my order and wait for my food. Purchased 3 large oxtail platters.

Love the food but the service is not great. The business hours online do not match up with their presence in the restaurant. Meaning, the website can say they're open on Tuesday at 11:30am and you get there at 12:15pm and no one is there.This has happened on a number of occasions. I tried to call 1st to avoid this but their telephone line doesn't work plus you can't leave a message. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

The size of these oxtails are ridiculous. I’ve never in my life had them this small!! Barely any meat. $30 is NOT worth it I should’ve looked at it before I left because I would’ve gave them this food right back. I’m going say that if you order the oxtails, check your boxes before you leave because you are going to be real mad when you go to open that now almost $30 box of nothing and there’s hardly any meat. They gave me oxtails that we’re barely the size of half dollars . LITERALLY. All mainly fat and gristle. I mean, I get that prices are going up everywhere but dang, give me what I pay for. Their large is now equivalent to a small but they pack you up with rice to make it seem like the box is full. The jerked chicken does not have a good Jamaican authentic flavor. It just taste like sugar to me. D&H has great jerked chicken but not so great oxtails. The prices at Spice n Nice are going up while the food quantity and quality are going down. It’s also worth noting that Mac n cheese is only served on Fridays, which I think is d**** The store closes very early and they stay running out of things. They are also not big on customer service. I never feel appreciated as a customer in there. And I don’t even know why they have a telephone because they NEVER EVER answer it. I wish another good Jamaican place that has great oxtails would open up in the area cause Spice n Nice getting a little too ahead of themselves. The picture attached is enlarged so you could see the size of the oxtails. They were so small that I had to zoom in. And you could see that they only give you a few pieces in the large, and they are from the thinnest point of the oxtail.
