Introduction:This was me and my boyfriend's first time purchasing food here. My sister recommended getting the cheesesteaks.Welcome:We were told to call and order ahead due to how busy they are. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone to place my order was very friendly and made ordering a pleasure...thank you! When my boyfriend went into the store to pick up our order he said, "they were very nice" and had a since of humor.Experience:The workers there showed friendliness and professionalism both on the phone and onsite.Ambiance:It was crowded and it was fairly clean but it was a full house.Food:Our order was chef cheesesteak, greens (made with turkey), mac&cheese, corn bread, ribs (6), and brisket (spicy) sandwich.The cheesesteak was big and packed with meat. We cut it into four pieces and our portion was like having a half size for both of us. The taste was ok but did not live up to the hype. Some of the meat was hard to eat and it was kind of bland. The greens (portion size is small) were good but the leaves were large which made it a little harder to eat. I think it would be better if they cut it. The brisket sandwich was was good but again it would be easier to eat if it was sliced smaller but I loved the bun. The mac&cheese (portion size small) was not good. The cornbread was delicious.Price:The quantity was worth the price (excluding. the sides) but the quality (taste) was not.Will return: Yes, but only for specific selections. I would also like to taste their desserts.Stars: Three the food was mediocre in taste. We called shortly after they opened on a Saturday morning and they had no desserts, I didn't understand that. I was told the person that makes the desserts did not make them yet. At opening everything should be available unless it is discontinued or they do not have it.Tip: It is à la carte and that can become pricey.Parking: We came about 30 minutes after they opened so parking was okay but I can see it being difficult to park during the peak hours.

They do not answer the phone and wont confirm orders until around 12 even when they document open at 11. You still would not regret going here. We got the chef's cheesesteak (amazing), the Mac and fries and everything was more than perfect.. it doesn't look like much but if you want awesome food for a reasonable price, go here. I've lived in the area for many years and have never been here. All I can think is about all the times I've eaten out and have disappointed. Should have gone here instead...we'll be back though.

The food is always great every time u come to the Tender bones in Bear. However today I ordered through DoorDash and had an issue with my order. The staff was so friendly, so patient and went above and beyond to rectify the issue. I’ll be a loyal customer for life!

I wish I could give zero stars but... Ordered 1/2 lb of brisket with NO sauce, what I got I'm not sure, the mystery meat was floating in so much of who knows what kind of sauce that would of put a diabetic in a coma. Unfortunately we were to far down the road to take it back. If they need to put that amount of sauce on, I am doubting that the meat is even smoked, the sauce is a cover up!Needless to say it went to where it belonged, IN THE TRASH!

I wish I could give a better review but the service has lapsed as well as the food. I had the same experience as the person below with the chicken wings smelling really bad. I was in shock, like you had to smell this cooking them. I called the owner to let him know not to sell this to anyone else because they had a strong odor and not good. He stood by his food but thanked me for letting him know. I ordered at 12:30 and was told to pick up at 1:10 and the food (wings, fish, and slice of pie) was not ready until 1:45. The sweet potato pie in the bag was old and burnt. I’m so glad I noticed it before leaving. I said oh no, I don’t want this. It should not be sold to anyone. The person at the register apologized and took it out. I’m surprised that they put that in the bag. I really like fish Fridays and may try again next month but this visit was such a turn off, I don’t trust that they care for the customers well being as they did when they first opened.

I really wish I could just love this place but my only two experiences weren't the best. The first time I visited was during summer. I put in a small order for wings, ribs, and sides and ended up waiting in store for an hour and a half. There was a nice woman who made conversation with me and was very apologetic for the wait. The wings were amazing, the best I'd tasted and after putting the ribs in the oven a little longer they were awesome. I went back for more wings recently- this time they weren't seasoned as well and there was a funk to them, like the chicken wasn't fresh. I know this hasnt been everyone's experience. I think i got unlucky back to back. Wishing the business all the best. They seem like great people.

Unprofessional owner who ran out the door to fight an older woman because she snatched her food. The customer snatched her food after she waited OVER AN HOUR for them to only have part of her order ready. They told her the order would take 20 minutes. So in frustration, she snatched her food and left. The worker told the owner and he ran around the counter to step to her outside. I WILL NEVER SPEND A PENNY here again.

my mom orders ribs from here all the time, she says they’re the best ribs she’s ever had- meaty and flavorful. chef bones & his staff are always so sweet to her, they go out of their way to show kindness and appreciation. she’s a customer for life!
