As of March 2023 this place was long closed down. News article from Sept 2022 said Famous Daves location was packing up and leaving town.

I adore the setting and BBQ style of service, but I think this particular branch looks closed. It's confusing if I should even bother to visit. I hope they can stay in business.

Thought I would try them one last time!! They usually have pretty decent barbecue. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork even the catfish was pretty tasty. The place is closed for good as of last month!! Last location in Delaware.

We were informed that they’re closing for good soon. We purchased a family feast, and was so salty we couldn’t eat the ribs and brisket. I guess they didn’t care what they served customers.

4/5 stars for the food, it was tasty. Friendly staff. 1 star for cleanliness--the floors were sticky throughout, the booster seats were dirty and sticky. Bathroom was clean but strange smell. No servers so if eating inside you have to order at To-Go and then eat your take out at a table. **The store is closing in two weeks so if you were looking to give them a try now is your time**

Ordered ribs , mashed potatoes and green beans and cornbread muffin. Ribs were too salty and I somehow forgot I was eating ribs. The side were tiny scoops of dry mashed potatoes and uneventful green beans. I'd rather go to ShopRite and get prepackaged and prepared ribs for $7.99. will NOT be back ?

Ordered dinner/dessert from here tonight. It was not good. I had the Texas Brisket Sandwich, and the meat was dry with burnt ends that were not edible. The collard greens and cornbread muffin were good though. My husband had Dave's Favorite Burger, which was dry. We had the bread pudding for dessert, and the pecan praline sauce just made it too overly sweet to even eat much of it. Will not be ordering here again.

Ribs were awesome ? Now I understand why my mother makes me stop by here when she is in town. The ribs are cooked perfect moist tender smoky and full of flavor. The ribs have that authentic smoke house flavor. Oh and the corn bread???? A must try.... I will definitely make sure you guys will have pictures next time

Worst BBQ I have ever eaten. Meat was mushy. Tasted like it had been left to slow cook 12 hours too long. The sauce was water line terrible and I really mean terrible. I am comparing this to cookouts where people barbecue for the 1st time this literally may be the worst barbecue I've ever had.

I love Famous Dave's I am and was devastated when the one near me closed. I was so excited that there was one left not to far from me. It didn't disappoint my meal was tasty as usual. I am sooooooooo sad that this place will only be open until November.

T-Mobile recently offered a promo for a free entree and side. Since we were in the middle of a move which left us with little to no cookware and plates, we've been living off takeout for a week.Decided to place a lunch order for Cajun Chicken with Garlic Red-Skin Mashed Potatoes and the Texas Beef Brisket with Famous Fries. Sandwiches are quite large and filling. Both sandwiches were very good and I loved the option for side sauces (highly recommend Devil's Spit BBQ Sauce if you can handle a little heat). The garlic mashed potatoes were a little letdown as it was just a super dry clump. Let's just say you didn't need a fork or spoon to eat it as you could literally just pickup the entire container and let the mash fall into your hand as a ball.

Overall good experience. As of 3/27/22, they do not offer traditional dine in service, and is take out only. However, they do have a section of their dining room open for you to e njoy your take out. The area was very clean and the food was pretty good today.

I was craving some southern cuisine and had been thinking about eating here for a few weeks. On my birthday, I was lured here under the false pretenses of “free dessert” which showed up as a coupon in my email.Boy was this place a nightmare. I arrived and was rudely told I *could* sit down if I really wanted to but that my food would be served to me in disposable dinner baskets. I ordered anyways since I was already here. I had to buy soda from their take out since they would not serve me water in a cup. They wanted tip. I’m not joking.Ribs arrived over cooked and stale. Fries had no salt and there was absolutely no salt at my table and no waiter to assist me in requisitioning some. Worst of all was this abomination of a dessert. The ice cream was frozen to a solid brick and came at the same time as my other food. I left and went to Aldi next door for a $4 gelato to make up for this train wreck of a meal. You tell me that dessert is worth the price of gas to drive here and I have some Ocean front property for you to buy in Missouri at competitive rates.Eat here at your own peril.

Stopped in for lunch on the way to MD. The empty parking lot (at 1PM) should have been the clue. Dining room empty, with sign on the stand "For Dine-In, please see To-Go Attendant". Walked back to the ToGo area, which literally smelled of urine. Waited for attendant to show up, and when she finally did - notified that they operate as take-out only. Given the awful smell in the area, we said "No thanks!" and departed. Very disappointed in a restaurant that we typically liked to visit.
