“My wife and I recently visited the restaurant and we were thoroughly impressed with our experience.When we arrived, they greeted us with complimentary chips accompanied by two delicious salsas and a fantastic crab salad.My wife ordered the birria tacos and I opted for a variety of tacos - cabeza, carnitas, and al pastor. I liked that I was able to order 3 different types of tacos. While all were delicious, the cabeza taco stood out as the clear winner. The meat was tender and well seasoned. The food felt like authentic Mexican food from the salsas to the meat.The parking was a breeze, with plenty of spaces available right outside the restaurant.Overall, great place! Delicious food, excellent service, and affordable prices. We'll definitely be back to try more plates!“

“We usually take out as it is a modest space in a small Claymont shopping center. The food is some of the best Mexican food in the area. Simple but excellent. We've tried the tacos burritos and several platters all were excellent. Give this little place a try“

“I have frequented this location for about 20 years. This past experience at the drive-thru was not only the best experience I have ever had there (regarding employees), it was one of the best and most memorable I have had at ANY drive-thru, including banks and other fast food establishments. The guy that was taking orders was polite, pleasant and respectful. He actually apologized for not having an item that I ordered. He sounded sincere when he apologized. I asked if he had any boxed meal deal that was comparable, and he made a suggestion quickly. I don't recall his name, but would recognize it if it was mentioned.My experience prior to this visit, which was about a year ago was the exact opposite. It was THE WORST experience I ever had at any drive-thru. It was two girls at the window. They taunted me, shouted derogatory names at me, laughed at me, made vulgar gestures to me, and arrogantly encouraged me to "call corporate". The rudeness of these two Taco Bell/KFC employees was so daring and over-the-top that I could hardly believe it was happening. Their cowardly advantage of being inside with a window separating us went to their head. I should have reported them but didn't. I feel good enough mentioning those two girls in this review and what they did, hoping "corporate" does see a difference in my last two customer experiences. The employees that have first-hand contact with customers does make a big difference. The reputation and success of a company depend mostly on those individuals.“

“Absolute best authentic tacos I’ve ever had. I go here once a week for our weekly out to dinner meal. The service is always fast and the food is fresh and delicious. Like nothing I’ve had around here before. The chips and salsa matter to me and these do not disappoint! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. “I ordered the Beef Birria Tacos. First time was good I ordered on a Saturday night. My second time I went around 4pm not as good the consommé had a strong tomato paste flavor to me and they added too many onions to the top. Overall the food was good. Best to call ahead there really isn’t a waiting area inside. I would recommend them and continue to support this small local business.“

“Wow! What a pleasant surprise this place is. Get the Burria Tacos they are delicious! Delightful shredded beef tacos where the shell is cooked in the broth. To top it off they give you a cup of Ajou to dip them in and oh my God it is amazing! This restaurant has menu items unlike any other place around and they are all great. The one area they need to improve on is wiping down tables after diners leave. Every time we go to sit down the table is dirty from previous diners. The counter employees are doing nothing and often on their phones yet the tables are unclean. I don't appreciate eating food on a dirty table.“

“i found this place while searching for a chipotle and im very happy i did. ordered the birria chicken bowl and elote. the bowl came with diced tomatoes, red cabbage, cucumbers and guac (w no additional cost!). chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned but i can eat the lemon cilantro rice for days..! this was probably my first proper elote and it was flipping delicious. quick service for take outi will be back !“

“As someone who lives in Delaware there isn’t a lot of good Mexican food and honestly haven’t found any restaurant that I actually like. But when I came here to La Parrillada that’s when I finally found good Mexican food as close to perfection. I order a torta de milanesa that was really good and filling. Usually when I order tortas there would always be a con like it being to messy or not enough toppings or flavor even, making me pick out things from my food. But this torta was perfect it was flavorful and also had something that was a little different being the fried cheese that really gave it a nice flavor. I also got churros that had filing as a dessert and there were warm and delicious.“

“The food is great. I have been here twice. I've seen this place many times when visiting Concord Mall but I assumed it was commercial Mexican food. I was sadly and regrettably mistaken. I've been to many Mexican restaurants in NCC and this place ranks in my top 5. I went during the day so maybe that's why the wait staff wasn't on top of our refills but I just asked her for 2 glasses at once which sort of solved my dilemma. “I live in Berks County but make the trek to Hidalgo whenever possible. Not a fancy place but very authentic & the food, service & staff are very, very good! We ordered Ceviche, Guacamole, taco's & soup for apps (4 of us dinning) and that were all really tasty & fresh. Ceviche was top notch!. Our entree's were very flavorful and the portion size is great. It is BYOB so bring your Tequila and let them make one of the best Margaritas you will taste. If you're lucky you will get to hear the lovely owner serenade the restaurant with Spanish singing! She's really a great singer and her performance adds to the atmosphere and dining experience! His attention to detail and the way he crafts each burrito with care and precision is truly something to behold. “After much fanfare and hoopla, I decided to give this Mexican joint a visit. I ordered the chorizo tacos and they were delish except for the price tag of $14 for three tacos. The food was fresh and the layout did remind me of a Chipotle restaurant. One of the employees served me green salsa in lieu of the habernero salsa and I was upset that the employee didn't know the difference. As with most Mexican restaurants in the area, no complimentary chips/salsa or beans & rice. They did let me try the carne asada and I would like to give it a try on my next visit. I am not going to rush my return to this joint but will try in the next 30 days.“

“This place has exceptional Mexican food! Make sure to get the pambazo, the sopes, and the lamb consommé! The fries leave something to be desired so I recommend the rice beans or churro as a side! The tacos are also delicious and we dip everything in the consume. I am drooling typing this! The flan and the horchata are also delicious! If you order in person you can get all different meats for the sope and taco meals (each come with 3) if you haven't been here you are missing out!“

“Tex Mex Burrito on Philadelphia Pike is by far our favorite eatery in the area. My family has been coming here for years. Every time we come in we are taken great care of. “I love tacos. Ok. The secret is out. I frequent here quite often and the food is consistently well-prepared, service is prompt and efficient, and the staff is always warm and inviting. On my last trip, my order was incorrect. Not a big deal. I came back to the restaurant and Payton took care of fixing my order right away. And even though only part of my order was wrong they fixed the entire order again and comp'd my rewards. That level of customer service isn't found often anymore. I am pleased there is finally a restaurant around that isn't a fast food chain and has character. I'll take Las Aves over Chipotle and a few other "upscale" restaurants any day. 12/10 come get these tacos“

“Great date night! My wife and I were looking for a great date night but we found a new regular spot. The service was great..our server helped in deciding between two menu items. Boy was he right! The street tacos were delicious. Food came out in the timely manner. We got a new menu item for an app - the street corn. VERY good! The atmosphere was relaxed. Big booths made it feel private and was good for hearing conversation at the table. It was clean and it was busy without being over crowded. Prices were fair and the drinks were strong. “El Toro is a classic-looking Mexican restaurant inside, with colorful furnishings and cheerful decor that looks like it was transported straight from Mexico. The dining room wasn’t busy, but they were doing a lot of take out orders. We ordered off of the lunch menu, which had very reasonable prices. We expected smaller portions as a result, but they were generous servings. I had the chicken flautas and my husband got the steak fajitas. They were both excellent. Even the rice was great! The service is excellent - even accommodated a slightly earlier than planned delivery (and arrived RIGHT on time!) and added in a few extras with the big order. I understand that there would be tax and an upcharge for the sour cream (which I never got) but $4+ more than advertised seems like a lot.
