Really good food. Found out this is a new owner, but they chose to keep the same name.

MASSIVE food quality drop since new owners. Used to be a regular going all the time and now I’m NEVER going there again.

We moved to DE over 5 years ago. Luigi's became our favorite pizza place in DE. They recently renovated & maybe have new owners. We ordered a large cheese pizza last night. It was one of the worst pies we've had in DE.The crust was spongy, not crunchy like pizza dough. There was very little sauce & cheese, no olive oil, no spices, & large pie wasn't even 16".We will not order from them again &can no longer recommend their pizza.

Finally stopped in to give the new ownership a try. WOW, what a total disappointment. They had everything there in place for success and u stop using the pizza oven and go to a conveyer chain restaurant. Pizza is much smaller, crust is horrible, and sauce has no taste. The pizza is lifeless and has no soul. But if ur looking for a alternative Anna and Mike's is only 5 min down the highway. They have real pizza.

We ordered two cold subs. Mine was Italian and the other Turkey. My daughter said her's was fine. I tried eating mine but it was very bland. I would not order from there again.

New owners. Pizza slices half the size. No more brick oven. It was bad. They don't even heat your slices up. I had frozen pizza better

UPDATE: Luigi's opened under new owners on December 6. Very disappointing. Even though previous owners offered all their recipes, new owners obviously decided on thier own, which are NOWHERE near as good. They changed the pizza oven from traditional to convenyor, changed the crust recipe (used to taste homemade, now tastes like a premade dough disk). We just ordered two pizzas that used to be faves - the cheeseburger pizza and a veggie with alfredo sauce. The cheesburger pizza was bland and dry - seemed to have no kind of sauce. And bacon? It was fairly gross. The veggie with alfredo - it wasn't even made with alfredo sauce. They made it with garlic sauce. If I'd wanted garlic sauce, I'd have ordered that. I don't like garlic sauce. So, that felt lime a big waste of money and really disappoi ti g quality. Guess Porto Bella will get all our business from now on. So sad.(Review of previous owners) There are a lot of good pizza places in the area. We've tried quite a few. This is our favorite so far. Their dough is so good. They have a greatmenu and topping choices for their pizza. (Our favorite is to order the veggie pizza and change the sauce to alfredo!) The service is good, and while it's not really a sit down restaurant, they have such cure "Mario and Luigi" art drawn on the walls.

Checked out the place under new ownership . Quite disappointed, premade generic crust, they now use a little Caesar style conveyor oven instead of a traditional oven. Comparable to rolling rink pizza now. So sad to see another good restaurant fall so far under new ownership. Do not recommend

This place was a decent hole in the wall pizza spot with good pizza and garlic knots.

So, I haven't been reviewing lately, bad me. I any case I tried this restaurant a few weeks ago, and it is now one of my favorites. Well, for the things that I have tried. Have you ever had a day that you wanted a certain "type" of food? Not necessarily the cuisine, but how it is cooked. I have been a fan of "hole in-the-wall" restaurants for the longest. I know when I lived in Seattle, we decided to go to Portland and when we got there there was a pizza place we wanted to try. I guarantee that the restaurant was o bigger than that of a kitchen and dinning room. They had 1-2 tables, ad that was all; the place was jammed pack! When it was time to leave, the people had to go back outdoors, to let us come out. It was the epitome of "hole-in-the-wall." When we got to the hotel, that food was sooo good!!! #foodie That being said, that is why I love trying these type of restaurants....scary looking, but the food is wonderful! In this case, IDK what Luigis Pizza looks like. I know that I have ordered from the more than once. I have NOT had a problem with the food per-se, I just haven't tried much from the menu. I I am still dealing with my silly body being hungry, but doesn't want the food I put it in it, Stoopid. So, I was looking for a hole-in-the-wall food, and found it here. I ordered one of the everyday specials; they were (2) slices of pizza, w/ a canned drink for $6 and the angel hair pasta with bolognese, in addition I ordered a couple of meatballs with a small upcharge, garlic knots, and cheesy bread. A lot of bread I know, but I was being fat!!! I found that the sides cost more than the food, in some cases, otherwise it was budget friendly. When I got the food, it was piping hot. The slices were "ginormous," and when fresh they were good. However if you have to heat them up, due to the thin-ness of the dough...it kills it almost immediately. No matter if you put a damp paper towel in it and heat it up for under 25 sec it's over. I learned the hard way. Outside of that the pasta was SOOOO good. However, they gave so much, that it literally took me having it for lunch and dinner for 2 days and then I had to toss it. They did what I asked thought. I wanted extra meat in the bolognese, they did it...I got baked cheese, too; so it was kinda liked baked spaghetti (it's like lasagna, but w/o ricotta). You can add a bunch of toppings, I only did a few...but I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Well, the pizza slice was a lil wonky but other than that. I will be going back. Lastly, I hate to interject...I have been finding that the more "hole-in-the-wall." Restaurants that I have found, if the food is left out, or put in the fridge, they do NOT taste the same after. I guess depending on how far away from the restaurant you are, with delivery my food always is piping hot. So, once it arrives, sit down and eat!
