Their service is second to none. When I show up there with Stormy (my service dog) they welcome us with open arms. Mr. Taylor the proprietor he always takes his time to visit. His staff make sure she has water and her cuisine cook the way she like it. I never been dissatisfied for any meals I order. I particularly love their Gyros with lamb. I don't have any complaints with their service or foods.

My family was searching for a vegan option in the Dover area and we found the reviews of the Speedway Cafe. Let me set the record straight about some of these bad reviews: this was a hidden gem. We ordered from their vegan menu for take out, and for vegan food, the options were extremely affordable. While many complained the food was cold, ours was hot and fresh, a perfect lunch. The staff was extremely friendly over the phone while ordering and in person for pick up. We will definitely be back for more! Food was kind of mid, when I received my burger it had no honey mustard. Would've given 5 stars if I had a burger with some honey mustard, and not a burger with no honey mustard.

It was full of people so we thought it would be good. Maybe they just don't have taste buds in Delaware because the potatoes were hardly cooked and the eggs were old looking. My friend had a hair in her food which they were nice to re make it but overall the food was poor quality. Also, the tables are so tightly packed and it was not well ventilated. I took a couple bites and left because it was so hot and uncomfortable.
The waitress was terrible, my French toast came out cold, home fries were not cooked and I had to ask another waitress for a box and the check after we were done eating for 10 minutes. Wasn't happy coming from Md to try something different

I was excited to see there was a diner with a separate vegan menu. Unfortunately, I found the food virtually inedible. The gyro’s mock meat was soggy, gummy, and flavorless. As other reviews have accurately noted, this diner looks like a dive bar (inside and outside) - I love dive bars and thought the ambiance was fine. Would be 1 star because food was so bad but 1 extra star for the effort of having a separate vegan menu.
