I am new to Trinidadian food, but what I had was excellent. I had chicken stew in roti and an order of doubles. I also got sorrels. Everything was just great. The lady that ran the shop was very nice. I’m thinking about going back today if I have the time. The vegetables that were part of the stew, potatoes, and cabbage were wonderful. I don’t know if I could get that by itself, the next time I go back I’m gonna ask, it was really good.

My husband placed an order on 2/2/2024. He ordered a curry goat roti and a shrimp roti with tamarind sauce on the side. The roti skin was nice and flaky, and the flavor of the curry potatoes and chana were good. My problem was with the curry shrimp. I have never in my life hand shrimp that was so rubbery. It was as it the owner of the business cooked it for 6 hours or it was cooked the day prior and they reheated it too long. On top of that, when I opened up the roti, there were ONLY 8 pieces of shrimp in there and there were the smallest shrimp ever. It was so bad that I removed all the shrimp out and just ate the roti skin, potatoes, and chana. This pissed me off because the prices are not cheap, so if your prices are going to be high, then do the right thing by your customers and give them a sufficient amount of food that is not rubbery. I understand that you need to make a profit, but you can't be doing your customers like that. As for my husband, he enjoyed his goat roti.

Food was lacking flavor…curry chicken wasn’t good and I was expecting more from the roti. I’ve had Trinidad food, which is pretty good, but this one here wasn’t it….

Authentic Trinbago cuisine. My wife and I had the doubles, pholaurie, geera pork dhalpuri roti, oxtail with rice & beans and fried plantains. Not to mention homemade peanut punch, and sorrel to wash it all down. Absolutely delicious! The owner and chef, Nicki is very welcoming, and cooks amazingly. A must try!

I’m giving this a 2 star because the rice and plantains were cool. The sorrel drink was very good. My husband and I ordered the curry chicken and goat, and they both were very disappointing. The meat was very dry and not tender enough. There was no curry sauce on either orders and the portions weren’t satisfying for the price. Unfortunately, we won’t be ordering from here again.

The food is amazing in all aspects. Plantains are one of my favorites and this place has them down! We felt like one of the family when we were greeted by the staff and will stop by every time we are in the area!

I'm extremely disappointed with my order. The curry chicken was incredibly dry, to the point where I could see the curry seasoning. The rice tasted burnt, and the cabbage was undercooked. This experience was truly disappointing. However, when I went to pick ip my food the lady with the beautiful eyes was super nice and welcoming.

I come here for curry goat which has always been GREAT. I usually just get the food and leave. Today I wanted to try/experiment with a drink. PLEASE, GO GET THEIR SEA MOSS OR PEANUT BUTTER DRINKS!You DON'T have to even like Trini food but I guarantee you will LOVE this sea moss drink! I bought one and in the 2 minutes she was getting my food ready to go I fell in love, finished it, and asked for another one to-go. I will be in there to get this drink even if I'm not getting the food that day! I am so happy I tried it, but my bank account will not be because I will be there all the time for this drink! Here is the one I finished in 2 minutes and the one I bought to-go. It is absolutely delicious and I spent another two minutes complimenting it! It's sweet but subtle, rich, and doesn't even taste like most sea moss drinks. GO GET TWELVE. RUN, DONT WALK!Kids would LOVE them too!
