+Excellent barbecued chicken and amazing price, for a quick meal usually when leaving Lewes/Rehoboth/Indian River after a day of hardcore fishing. +The pickles are superb! +The sour tart vinegar-based sauce is out of this world, addictive. +Use the dinner roll to sop up the chicken juices and barbecue sauce. -I only wish the operating hours were longer! Don't miss out and check this BBQ joint out!

While I was at Kiwani's, I heard a customer in line talking about Greenwood BBQ and that it was the only legitimate competitor to Kiwani's in the area. After trying Kiwani's, I knew I had to try Greenwood out. The chicken is very similar to Kiwani's and I wouldn't be surprised if one of the employees split off from Kiwani's to create Greenwood (or vice versa). Similarly to Kiwani's, it has a marinade that has a slight herbal and vinegary taste to it. It is also cooked outdoors on a charcoal grill while gives it a great flavoring. That being said the marinade and flavor falls well short of Kiwani's and the chicken was very dry. The sum it up, it falls short on execution. While it hurts me to give a 3* to this place because it is run by volunteers, I have to provide my objective recommendation and say that Kiwani's is far superior to Greenwood.

Hands down the most amazing delicious chicken I have ever had. Been coming here many many many years. It's a tradition to stop and eat chicken on way to beach or back home depending on availability. Trips have been planned around when we can be guaranteed food. The chicken is tender and juicy, but the sauce is even more amazing. The product has not changed from when I was a little kid. I have paid 3 or 4 times the price for chicken that was not even close in the quality. A must stop on the way to the beach!
