Small menu. Eclectic. Wasn't my thing but the duck was good. Asian influence. Certainly a focus on quality. Drinks were well done too. I would give a 4th star but I really had little to choose from which is more my fault for not looking closer at a menu before booking.

Our 28th anniversary will not be forgotten. The service was awesome and the atmosphere was quiet and quaint, just the way we like to dine! 5 star Prime Beef and Sable Fish! We will return!

I recently visited The House of William and Merry for dinner on two separate occasions and had phenomenal experiences both times. On the first visit I had the Duck Confit and Ricotta Raviolo as an appetizer and the Grilled Prime Beef Deckle Steak as the main course. The raviolo consisted of savory al dente pasta filled with meaty creamy duck confit and topped with a sweet rich cherry brown butter glaze, rich jamon and crisp arugula. The steak was fantastic! Rich, juicy and tender and paired with a yolky egg, smoked onions and soft savory potatoes. I loved my first visit so much, I had to visit a second time a few weeks later. On this occasion I had the Atlantic Octopus & Artichoke Dip and the Grilled Hudson Valley Duck Breast. The Dip was addictive! Gooey cheese was filled with soft tender chunks of lightly briny octopus, topped with crisp pork cracklings similar to bacon and paired with soft smokey grilled pita bread. The Grilled Hudson Valley Duck Breast was heavenly. Super tender duck was paired with soft lightly crisped potatoes, crisp asparagus and sunflower shuts, and creamy flavorful Gruyere creama. Of course with food this good I have to try the dessert but I was pretty full on both occasions. The restaurant prepares for this inevitability by offering house made truffles as a small sweet alternative to their dessert menu. On both occasions I went with the truffle and they were chocolately and creamy and the perfect way to finish the meal. The cocktail, wine, and craft beer selections are also very good. Reservations are recommended a few weeks in advance so do yourself a favor and make those reservations ASAP.

It's always a great time every time we go there, Merry was kind enough to accommodate our date night when our babysitter schedule ended up being later than expected, everyone we have ever interacted with there is so nice

My favorite restaurant in Delaware, for good reason. Every dish so delicious, creative but never gimmicky, to fantastic results. And, as always, Chet provided perfect service. Such a great place to gather for good company, conversation and a wonderful meal — every course, from unique cocktails to the wow desert.

Wow, where to begin? Such a cool cozy space and the staff is attentive but not oppressively so. John was our server but we also had three other people dip in and out with drinks or to clear plates. The food was simply fantastic. We shared the scallops, which were delicious and had a zesty sauce. Entrees were the wild Atlantic halibut special and lamb bolognese. SO GOOD. Topped it off with a fig balsamic dark chocolate truffle. Will definitely return!

We were very disappointed in everything! The up stairs room was very noisy. It was difficult to speak over the group of four next to us and the group of three next to them. Nothing on the menu appealed to us, The entree selections were limited to 4 - pork belly, beef, swordfish and ____. It was a disappointing experience!

Always an amazing experience! I feel like I've gone to a Michelin star restaurant but better because it's relaxed and friendly. Could eat there every night but I love to cook too. Thank you once again.

My husband and I went for dinner and will be back soon. Excellent service, wonderful atmosphere. From start to finish the starters, entrées, and desserts were delicious. The drinks were well balanced and beautifully made, from the cocktails to the espresso with perfect crema. Very much looking forward to future visits!

John was an absolutely spectacular server. The entire experience from start to finish was wonderful - from the greeting, to seating, to the expertly balanced cocktails, to the seasonal appetizers, main course, and of course dessert. It's obvious that the chef and manager entered this business with a desire to please, and they succeed on every front. The staff are courteous and attentive, the food was absolutely unreal. Words really can't do it justice, so pick your favorite reason to eat a good meal and use it to come eat here.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner that was as beautiful to look at as it was creative. Bold use of seasoning brought out the best in each dish. Thank you to our server Madeline who was attentive and engaging. One of our favorite restaurants in the Wilmington area.

We have been meaning to come here for years and finally scored a Saturday night dinner reservation. Incredible from start to finish. The food is so thoughtfully prepared with flavors complimenting each other perfectly. We love that the menu is seasonal so we can plan try new things often. Our server was kind, funny, and attentive. Honestly a top dining experience beyond even just Delaware. Rivals or tops every NY and Philly restaurant we’ve dined in. Cannot wait to come back!

Food is so imaginative and Bill places such an emphasis on presentation and structuring every bite of food to combine all elements of the dish. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
