Many thanks to the hostess and wait staff of this lovely establishment for going above and beyond to accommodate the needs of 2 older, handicapped women in our group. The seating arrangements were perfect! Although the menu is somewhat limited, we all found something we really liked. The Maryland Crab Soup was a meal in itself....filled with crab meat and veggies. The crab cakes were outstanding! Thank you for a very enjoyable evening!

Love this place! Beautiful decor. Their menu is small but the food is so so good! Our waiter was on the ball! They bring your bill in small books. So very cool!

Beautiful backyard! If you don't like DOGS do not go there because people come with pets to the patio. Food was so so... but nice friendly servers.

I was really hoping this place would be good. Sadly that was not true. If you want stuck up, condescending children to serve you bad drinks, go here. If you want quality service and food, even a trash can would be better.

Worse service ever. Went for the opening and not only are the servers rude and made disrespectful comments but the management did nothing about it. There are better restaurants in the neighborhood. Go to those and don't waste your money here.

Service was very slow. However, they were friendly. Not impressed with the menu selection. The BBQ sandwich was great. I wasn't impressed with the salmon burger.

Loved it! Great food. Great service! And a fallen soldiers tribute. I'd go back more often if I wasn't so far away!

It was a disappointing dinner at the Booth House Tavern in Old New Castle. This was my first time here and my first impression. I had already reviewed the menu online before I arrived and was going to order rack of lamb, Asparagus and spinach risotto with bread pudding. When I sat down the waiter gave me a menu that had salads, burgers and tavern fare and explained there was a limited menu as there was a problem with one the refrigerators and they had to throw a lot of food out. Would have been nice to be notified when the reservation was accepted. All I got of my expectations was the Asparagus and bread pudding. I ordered a gin and tonic with Tanguery. Was told they were out of Tanguery. I ordered the salmon with garlic mash and Asparagus. The other choice was steak. The salmon and rest of food was delicious. I did get bread pudding and coffee for dessert. I was disappointed with the bread pudding. It was cold and certainly not soft. The waiter service was okay. I understand there was live music in another room but wasn't given an option to be in that room. Another couple that came in walked out. I didn't but.......

Friendliest place in town. Very cozy, excellent drinks and beers. Wonderful happy hour selections. Pulled pork sliders with pineapple were over the top. If you want a good time in Old New Castle come here! Stop by and visit the brewery room!

We ate lunch at the Tavern, second floor. On the positive side, the books were a nice touch. The service was good, but not great. My wife tried to order the beet salad and was told it wasn't available. Oddly enough, a patron at a nearby table was able to order the beet salad about 15 minutes later. My wife had the beef tenderloin burger which was large but less tasty than the average Five Guys burger. The fries were barely above room temperature. I had the salmon burger which was a bit heavy on the onion. My fries were not hot either. For the price point, the food simply was not well executed.

It pains me to leave this review. Honestly. As a young resident of this little town, I really, really, really wanted to love this place. The first time we went (summer 2021), it was a fine experience. Probably four stars because of the hospitality, food was three stars. But they did a menu change a few months ago and added online ordering. Both of those things appealed to me and we decided to give it another shot. The first time we ordered online they didn't even start the order until we arrived to pick it up (well over an hour later) and we ended up being an hour late to our planned evening with friends. The food was good (pulled pork, veggie burger, crab cake, all actually really good), but no one cared that I had ordered online for pickup at a certain time, and no one offered any kind of apology. And an hour makes a difference when both families have young kids, so their delay basically ruined the evening. But the food was good, so we gave it another shot. This time we called in the order: pulled pork sandwich and black bean burger. They said it would be about 15 minutes so my husband gave them extra time and walked over about 20 minutes later. And again, no one had any idea about the order and it was clear it hasn't been started. My husband waited another hour for two sandwiches. No apology, nothing. And no, it wasn't busy. But again, the food was good. So when we had a friend in town last weekend, we thought we would give it one last try. We went over and there were four people eating inside. We needed a high chair, so they sat us upstairs, I guess which is where they keep their high chairs. Between the manager who instructed the host to seat us, the bartender who confirmed the high chairs were upstairs, the guy who brought us the high chair and a different guy who brought us bread, at least FOUR people at the restaurant knew we had been seated upstairs. And not a single person came to take our order. We waited for 20 minutes and finally gave up. Bottom line: good food but wildly unreliable service. Don't even bother with the online ordering or even calling it in. And don't sit upstairs if you expect to actually eat there. But the food is good. :/

Excellent dining experience! There is a cozy dining room, but we ate outside on their nice patio. The food was delicious and the staff ensured that my wife's food allergies (gluten, onion, garlic) could be accommodated. One of the coolest things is the in-restaurant hydroponics room where they grow their own microgreens. Glad to see this historic location revived so well!

We were invited to a birthday dinner / celebration that was hosted outside on their beautiful patio, there was about 27 people that attended and from the moment we walked in the hostess was kind and very friendly, the bartenders and the servers were extremely nice and took great care of us, the drinks were great the food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was calming and relaxing but also a great time!! Mia the Director of Operations & Hospitality came out and introduced herself to us and was very friendly and welcoming, I can’t believe we didn’t visit sooner!! We highly recommend this place for either a romantic night out, or for a good happy hour as well as if your looking to host an event. The location & setting is beautiful and very friendly…. If I could give more then 5 stars I would…

August 2021I just stopped for coffee while out on a bike ride, so I can't comment on the restaurant. Quaint little place with decent coffee and a few treats. I tried the biscotti and it was really delicious. The iced coffee was good and prices are reasonable. Glad a coffee place is finally open in this area.

I happened to find this place while looking for a restaurant to celebrate my brothers 30th birthday. I saw they had a few vegan options on the menu so I decided to book a reservation. Upon entering I noticed there wasn't many diners. The hostess was very sweet and accommodating. We chose to sit upstairs and we were excited to see we had a room all to ourselves. There were 3 tables total and none were occupied at the time. Our sever was nice enough but my aunt ordered a turkey burger and when it came to the table it was not cooked all the way and had a weird mushy consistency. She hated to be a bother, but asked to have it sent back to the kitchen and cooked some more. When she got it back it was the same burger which she was ok with but it still had an odd mushy texture so she chose to not eat it at all. When we told the server it was uneatable he just apologized he didn't offer to have her order something else or for a refund. She ended up stopping for a slice of pizza on her way home. For me, I ordered the filet and garlic mashed and I was so excited because I saw another review on Yelp with a photo of the dish and it looked amazing. When mine came out my potato's were brown and I didn't taste any garlic. My filet didn't have hardly any of the horseradish butter sauce that I saw previous diners filets with. I was so bummed so I asked for steak sauce and they didn't have any. My asparagus that I asked to be well done were not. They were still crunchy. My brother enjoyed his vegan sweet potato burger. When it was time for dessert the kitchen was out of basically everything and my aunt wasn't able to get the bread pudding she wanted. During these hard time I believe in practicing grace and understanding. So I still tipped about 25%. I would like to give this place another try and possibly get the shrimp pasta dish but I just really wish the server would have offered to have my aunt order something else since her food wasn't edible. Or maybe I should of asked to speak to a manager.
