“Very generous portion of food and ingredients . I ordered the seafood UDon which got 5 shrimps, 2scallops, two mussel and many other ingredients. Similarly,the spider roll came with generous ingredients. A good portion is soft shell crabber and fresh avacado with little rice which I really like. The quality of ingredients is high. All veggies are fresh. It is tasty and just has a bit room to improve. It is a pleasant surprise to find a Japanese/Chinese restaurant with this quality in the area after a late day shopping. Could be the best in the area.“

Wife had sick stomach from her beef bowl and after opening the take home container was opened, there was indeed something not right about it. Rice smelled funny too. Maybe the egg that was placed on the dish was bad? I was ok for once and it seems that mine is generally made of rice paper too.*Apologies for finishing this review when we finished the food, but it was excellent.The wife and I really enjoy our time with this restaurant sister's restaurant, Chiwa Bistro. The good folks at Chiwa suggested Kakure and we accepted the challenge. Since we had some business in Newark, we checked them up last night.Now, usually we get the same things as a bassline that compares one meal to one from another place. That would be me. The wife just enjoys the food. Once again the decorations were fantastic, with all of the Demon Slayer figures to the random TVs with random anime on. Bathroom is gender neutral but contains wanted posters if you're hunting down the Straw Hats.Its can be a bit claustrophobic and when we walked in the place was packed. We got the last table in the place. As far as the help went there was this lone server covering the whole restaurant. We did get our dinner in a timely manner and still warm. I got the teriyaki and the wife got the seared pork butt bowl. We did try to order a few things too but those were items that run out? Run out of tea?All in all, the meal was pretty good. Not perfect but this might be a good place to go to find out if a new romantic interest is as into anime as well. Might even want to share the larger bento box since it's meant for sharing. Definitely want to share a bite or two of the Mont Blanc, which I've never had. They're charging the same prices that their sister restaurant charges, and it's a pick your poison as to whether you want to deal with Newark or the mall, but you're choice. They both serve food that the other doesn't have on the menu.“
“The food's great. Tons of vegetarian options. The dining rooms aren't overly crowded with tables so you don't feel cramped. Good lighting but not too bright.The best part is the staff. They really make this place shine.And oh yeah, peanut pancakes for dessert. Amazing!“
“We showed up on a Saturday in February 2024 around 2: 30. About half the tables were full with customers. We ordered the n Friday pot sticker sampler for two. We also ordered the scallion pancakes. The food came out fairly quickly, and there was enough food for the both of us. The staff was friendly to us. Bathrooms were clean. This place has a full bar.“
“The service was great and the overall atmosphere was nice. The food portion was bigger and more generous than other ramen places. The broth was good but a little salty. The meat in it was pan-fried, so it was tough and too dry for ramen. You get the whole egg in the soup, instead of only half the egg xD.“
“I still gave them 5⭐️ but they need an update on karaoke songs more urban and up to date songs and artist, drinks need some more razzle, and food was great need more options. We had medium room 7 people could have fit more. Room was nice nice, the bathrooms where clean. We had 2 hours should have got more cause it was a vibe!!! Prices is good too!“
“This has become one of my favorite restaurants. Me and my gf come here all the time when we are in Delaware. Food is fantastic. Prices are very fair. The service here is also very friendly and they do a good job. Highly recommend this place to anyone if you're a fan of Ramen or Asian food in general .“
