We are so fortunate to have this amazing institution in Newark now. The menu has a lot of great stuff but my favorites are the sausage pepper and onion sandwich and also the sausage gravy.
Have the signature two sausage egg and cheese sandwich, you won't be disappointed. While you wait for your sandwich and it only takes a minute while you wait, scan the entire menu. Great selection of comfort foods in a breakfast theme.

Ok. Take II.....Great experience today at Helen's in Newark. Again I arrived 15 minutes prior to closing (not on purpose). They were still open. The ladies inside were extremely helpful and upbeat. Food was outstanding. Guessing my first experience was a "one-off" and I know that everyone has off days. I bought a single and a ton of sausages for the weekend St. Patty's Day parade post party. Overall, 5 star experience and I will be back again, and again.....
