Everything about Painted Staves is 5 star. Sunday was the release of their latest Pots Still (aged in wine casks) and it did not disappoint. Mike’s lecture was TedTalk worthy. BTW the beef tacos and crab quesadillas are a perfect combination while visiting.

One of our local favorites. With a seasonal menu that changes but never fails or disappoints, incredibly friendly staff/owners, and drinks that not only taste amazing but aren’t shy, we always have a good time! Check out the taco truck onsite too!

Phenomenal!! We went to a how to make a few drinks class here and it was so fun and educational! Julia, Amy, Angel, Kaitlin, Mike, and Angela were all amazing! Mike's knowledge and his ability to share with us the history of the drinks we were making made the class that much better! We will be back. Oh, and the taco truck, so yummy!

So awesome!!!! I don't know where to start. The drinks, the chips, the people - all of it was wonderful. Upon arriving there's a little parking lot next door so we didn't have to use street parking. We sat inside and the decorations are textile art from local artists! It's also for sale. I loved that there were non alcoholic beverage options. The Down in Georgia was the perfect drink to cool me off on a hot day. The taco truck was a nice touch! We got chips and guac which were average but I'm glad they had it as a gluten free option. They were out of stock on many items on their menu which made it difficult to order. It was surprising because we visited at 4 pm on a Saturday. Some of my friends got the steak and mango tacos which they loved! They have very few gluten free and pescatarian options. I asked about the tofu tacos but the tofu was dipped in a batter with gluten. I didn't come here for the food and I wasn't hungry so I wasn't that disappointed. However, next time I go I won't plan to eat here.

Grabbed an after dinner cocktail with my friend and was so pleasantly surprised.Modern, stylish, comfortable and delicious drinks! Variety of seating options -- high tops, bar, table, couch and chairs (so comfy) and outdoor seating. Parking wasn't plentiful in the attached parking lot, but street parking was relatively easy to find. There's a food truck called Jardín Tacos which has tasty bites you can bring inside! Service was prompt and polite. Would totally return and bring back other friends and family members.

What an experience! My husband and I enjoyed our 1st cocktail/food pairing at Painted Stave. The food was delicious and perfectly paired with creative cocktails. I loved how each drink had a beautifully, decorative garnish on them (oh so picture worthy). We will return with friends for future pairing events.

We love this place and are pretty much regulars, trying out each new menu for the seasons. Tonight we stopped in to try the spring 2023 menu and noticed the signs saying they were understaffed but were immediately greeted by the owner, Ron, who was friendly (as always) and seated us promptly. We waited a bit (no longer than was reasonable) until Angel came to take our order - she was lovely, personable, and had great recommendations! Ron came over multiple times throughout our stay and asked about how drinks/service/etc were. He even apologized for the (VERY brief!) wait we experienced and picked up the first round of drinks we ordered. Everything was amazing as always! This place is truly a hidden gem of the Smyrna area — a must try if you’re around these parts!
Amazing local place. Great prices and great environment. Staff was very kind and helpful as well! I’m sad we live so far. Will definitely stop by next time we’re in town.

My hubby and I love visiting Painted Stave. We love the seasonal drinks they offer and enjoy a flight to try something new. They have taco jardin food truck for food offerings. That has been ok. You might want something more substantial but the food is good. We can't wait to try one of the pairings they offer.
