Whether you are a fan of red meat or not, Bardea Steak is top-notch across the board. We travelled an hour from Southern NJ after trying the same old places in Philly and A.C. Knowing what I know now, I'd drive three hours for this meal. From start to finish our experience felt hand crafted and up-scale without being pretentious. Our server Marko was extremely knowledgable and guided us through the menu and the chefs vision. I came for the Butchers Feast--there was no changing my mind. My partner opted for the Chefs Tasting with a duck component. Not a single bite was amiss. For nearly two hours we savored every dish while downing a variety of expertly crafted cocktails. The complexity of the flavors and flavor profile developed in every dish of the Chefs Tasting rendered my partner speechless for most of the night. As for me, my Butchers Feast was cooked to my liking and featured some unique cuts not found at many restaurants. All throughout, Marko was attentive and helpful, the bartender was on point, and the kitchen clearly knows what they are doing. My only reservation comes with writing this review---I'd prefer if no one found out about this hidden gem so that I'd have unfettered access to it in perpetuity. But alas, great food is meant to be shared. My compliments to the Chef and staff here for a wonderful experience.

Grabbed dinner here while in town for a concert at The Queen theater. A friend had highly recommended Bardea and based on the menu I previewed online, I couldn't resist. I was blown away! Everything was perfect, from the atmosphere, service and quality/presentation. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the Cherry BBQ wings as an appetizer along with an IPA from Other Half brewing.I opted for the 16 oz Delmonico with the mushrooms and baked potato sides. Seriously incredible from start to finish.Jeff & Luke at the bar were friendly and very accommodating. They made great suggestions for what to order and were spot on. Can't wait to get back here soon with my wife

High Hopes Unmet at Bardea SteakI approached Bardea Steak with great enthusiasm, ready to embrace what I hoped would be a top-tier dining experience in Wilmington. My anticipation was built around the promise of a fine dining steakhouse that would stand out in the local culinary scene. Let me commence with the accolades: Bardea does many things right. The appetizers set a promising stage, the atmosphere exudes sophistication, and the service team, especially the staff, perform exceptionally well. These elements create an inviting environment that should not go unrecognized. However, my main reason for visiting—a properly cooked, tender Pittsburgh rare steak—turned into the crux of my disappointment. I ordered the Delmonica ribeye, eagerly anticipating its arrival. Yet, what was served could hardly be described as Pittsburgh rare; it leaned towards medium and was notably tough, a far cry from the crusty exterior and rare interior I had expected. This was not a solitary misstep; even after a 50-minute wait and a discussion with the bartender—who promptly offered to rectify the situation—my experience failed to improve. Despite the manager's assurance and the chef's insistence on their cooking method, my second attempt with a New York strip ended in similar disillusionment. Both my dinner guest and I were left perplexed by the kitchen's interpretation of "rare."It's important to note that I was not seeking compensation, and while the offer to comp the steak was appreciated, it did not address the core issue at hand. My expectations for a steak of superior quality and preparation were not met, leading me to conclude that I could achieve a more satisfying result with a simple home-cooked steak. In reflection, while Bardea shines in hospitality and ambiance, it falls short in delivering on the culinary experience one might expect from a steakhouse of its purported caliber. This has led to my decision not to return for steak, driven by the belief that the essence of fine dining lies not just in service and setting, but crucially, in the quality and execution of the cuisine.

Everything was fantastic. Our server was attentive, funny, and knowledgeable. The cocktails were wonderful, and the steak was the best we've ever had. We will be coming back the next time we're in Wilmington!

Our waiter was phenomenal. The service was impeccable and timely. I brought a steak lover for his birthday and he was not disappointed. I am a vegetarian and the waiter went through all of the vegetarian options with me in detail which I really appreciated. It was truly a great experience.

Very nice restaurant. A bit on the noisy side. Good service with nice waiters and very good sommelier. The food was good but not spectacular. Probably on the expensive side.

It was our 30 year wedding anniversary. We had a 7:30 reservation for 4 on a Saturday night. We arrived at 7:32 and had to wait 15 minutes for a table. In the mean time I visited the ladies room which had NO toilet paper at all in any of the 3 stalls. Not off to a good start for a place that fancies itself as being fancy. We ordered drinks and wine from the cocktail menus which was fine. Our server was very nice and professional. We ordered appetizers and the enhanced tasting menu with 7 kinds of steak along with Mac and cheese and the spinach pot pie. The lobster rolls were delicious as was the lamb tostadas. The croquets were weird but ok. The steak was tasty but ridiculously overpriced. It did not taste any better than a steak from Walter's. The spinach pot pie was yummy. The Mac and cheese was too rich and had a spice (nutmeg?) that was off-putting. Also they acknowledged our anniversary upon arrive but after that it was not mentioned. I don't need a free dessert but after spending $500 it would have been nice. As others have mentioned, charging customers for their employees' benefits is just tacky. Pay your people what they deserve, including health care. . Overall not worth the price. Go to Walter's or Harry's.

I can't say enough about how amazing Bardea Steak is, from the food to the staff. I brought my parents to celebrate with my husband and I for our anniversary, and they were very excited to try the tasting menu. However, I'm Celiac and the menu was largely wheat based. BUT! Between our wonderful server Luke, the incredibly nice General Manager and the awesome chef, they were able to curate a tasting menu of the chef's favorites and absolutely saved the day. It was delicious and an overall such a wonderful experience my father is chomping at the bit to go back! Thank you Bardea Steak, for going above and beyond, and creating a wonderful evening for us. It is well and truly appreciated!

The dining room was attractive and welcoming, although the noise level was a little high for me. It was a little dark for us and we had to use our cellphone flashlights to see the menu. The staff was very attentive and gave a thorough explanation of the food and drinks. The drinks were good on a level appropriate for an establishment of the price range of Bardea. The food was very good, but I wouldn't call the steaks outstanding. I've had better steaks in New York and Philly. All in all, I would give this restaurant another try to make sure my evaluation is accurate.
