Since this restaurant has changed management it has gone downhill. It’s in a predominantly black neighborhood and there isn’t any black representation in the workers. I don’t want a person from another country cooking food that my mother cooked for me. It doesn’t taste the same. The love that we put in our food when we cook it is gone. There is no pride in it. The kitchen used to have black cooks. The waitress staff was mixed black a white. The owner is now in the kitchen and then goes to the register. That is unsanitary. You have lost a loyal customer for years.

I ordered through Uber eats this time but the first time i went into the store they didn’t have gritz ? but babe did they have it this go round and it was slamming good im talking cooked to perfection and still warm please keep the grits on the menu ??

Libby's is a good little place for breakfast if you're in the city. It can get crowded with diners and take out lines especially in the morning and isn't fancy but worth a trip to a long standing diner.

Fast service. Inexpensive diner with good food (had fried egg sandwich). Brisk trade but the waitresses were great and refilled coffee every time they passed. Coffee was strong drip and hot. Kind of place Reacher would approve of.
I wanted something simple but hearty for breakfast and Libby’s did not disappoint. It was the perfect diner experience. The food hit the spot (I had the French toast, bacon and grits - all delicious) and the service was quick and friendly. Also the prices are amazing, as are the portion sizes! I couldn’t finish all my food. I’ll definitely be back here.
