Not only is the meatball and rigatoni come out in adorable, cast-iron pan. It is delicious. The first bite instantly makes me feel cozy. I didn't finish it because I wanted to have leftovers for the next day. But of course I didn't because my husband finished it!

This place is incredible. Everything from the atmosphere to the food is outstanding. I had the baked salmon and for desert i had tiramisu. Delicious is an understatement. You must try this place yourself i guarantee youll be thanking me. I highly recommend it, this is going to be my go to from now on.
The 2 star rating is for the food which was delicious. The additional stars were not given due to the following:1. The Hostess was very blank and unfriendly to the point that I’m thinking is this just her or is she racist.2. The appetizer portions are extremely small.3. Though the restaurant was pretty much empty the Hostess places us directly in the booth connecting to another party who was extremely loud, they were loud to the point that they should have stayed at home to dine.Ultimately food was good but not enjoyable due to the atmosphere created by a tactless party who was already dining prior to us getting there. Of course the lack of manners and coldness of the Hostess made the atmosphere more uncomfortable.The waitress was good! Nice, friendly and professional!

I was very impressed with the food and particularly with the service. All the servers were on the same page from the waiters to the manager! They seamlessly took the plates away and gave us water when we needed it.

Linguine and mussels were delicious, the tomato oil was incredible, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning.

First time at Taverna. Disappointed in the food, lacked flavor. Service was ok, not our servers fault, she was pleasant the restaurant seemed just overwhelmed. We ordered several glasses of wine, all were above room temperature and tasted like that have been opened for days.
We love the ambiance and the food was good - after they got it right. I asked for well done salmon but it was served to me with the inside completely raw. It was my birthday dinner. I encouraged my husband to go on and eat his plate without me while they corrected my food. It's ashame we couldn't actually eat our food at the same time. Nothing was offered for this error.

We went here yesterday for my husband's birthday.To start, I called at 11 am to make a reservation for 4 pm. At 3 pm, I called back to move the reservation to 5 pm. The girl on the phone said she had no reservation for me at 4 pm. I told her I didn't understand how that could be. I had called at 11 am as soon as they opened. She rudely accused me of calling their Newark location. I had proof I called the Wilmington location in my phone. She was adamant that she hadn't spoken to me and I didn't call. Either way I made a reservation for 5 pm.When we arrived the two young people at the hostess podium failed to greet or acknowledge us. After standing their awkwardly for ten minutes we got their attention and told them we had a reservation. The young man apologized and seated us.We ordered the fried calamari which came with marinara sauce, jalapeños and a very strange sweet, lemon cream sauce. It clashed with the dish.The rest of the meal and the service was great!!! Best carbonara I've ever had!!!
First time visitor . Food was great. Our waitress , Emily, was fantastic. Will go back again .

My entrees were rushed to the table as I was just finishing the first course. The bread that was served was stale and the Brasata dish was loaded with oil which made the risotto base unbeatable. I had past experiences at the restaurant but after this experience this will be my last.

We had to wait 20 minutes (with a reservation). Parking is a real challenge but the food was excellent. The flatbread and carbonara were excellent. Can't say the same for the Caesar salad.
A little pricey but worth it in the portion size and quality of the meal. Drinks are bit pricey though but not a requirement, of course. A little loud and sometimes hard to hear the conversation at your table but we always enjoy our time at Taverna.
